The sizes that keep popping up on FTL are probably a result of hype beasts returning their pairs that they can't move at $280 on ebay.

It's true though. Even though both seem dainty, I think the trainers look like they have more bulk on them where as the racer look way small in form. Racers are right there with Vans Eras and even Chuck Taylors. It's very hard to wear big big opened pants or even moderate sized ones with them which is why most photos you see them in, people are wearing joggers or some sort of tapered jeans or even just flat out flooding in them.

Guys have to look like girls from the waist down to pull it of sometimes.

If you ain't about that slim fit life or looking like a Karmaloop/Urban Outfitter model, then stick to trainers or even the chukkas.

Yep. Gotta wear skinny/slim jeans or they just look odd. I hate joggers and pinrolled pants, but those are a few other alternatives.
