Risking his perfect record?! Never that
roll.gif

You're always calling people Floyd stans and claiming to be unbiased but won't even give him a shred of props after a performance like last nights...
You only want to see him fight threats from here on out?....When is Pacquiao going to do that?

It goes both ways, Mayweather fans NEVER give props to Pacquiao, they will say he's juicing before giving him props.

But when he had a hardtime with JMM it was "See, he's exposed, he lost, he will never stand a chance!"

I'm a Mayweather fan and I always give Pacquiao credit.
FIRST BORN claims to be unbiased though and he's clearly a Floyd hater.

all these threads, they always turn into a A vs B ... i'm not a fan of either so these are just my thoughts ... Mayweather didn't look "his best" last night ... Pac certainly didn't look "his best" vs. JMM ... w/ that being said ... mayweather went to 151 and still did very well vs. Cotto and won the fight will a solid performance looking spectacular at times ... Pac imo had a draw against JMM at best ... Money fans have every reason to be stans ... this guy is a beast ... Pac is talented but he's a couple of notches below money ... until they fight all we have are our opinions ... sports wouldn't be sports w/o these "debates" ...

let's just give props to Money ... last night was his night ... he is the biggest draw in the sport, he's the most talented, he's the best, he has what 8 belts in 5 classes, and he is UNDEFEATED ... if i were a Pac fan ... i wouldn't care if pac got props from money fans ... if u think pac is better ... hope for the fight ... until then wait ur 2 weeks till pac fights and then start this %+*! all over again ...

He also retired the guy Mayweather struggled against (DLH) and KOed cold  in 2 the guy Mayweather went 10 with (Hatton) and won every round vs the guy who buckled Mayweather
But dudes only use Marquez as the common opponent who we've already established wasn't ready for 144

Didn't he fight a severely drained DLH with a beneficial catch weight after Floyd fought him at 154?

Didn't he fight Hatton after Floyd crushed his confidence (critical to a brawler whos not a skilled boxer) and removed his "0"?

Didn't he fight Shane with a catch weight a year after Floyd washed him up and it was already clear that he wasn't the same fighter?

Not saying, just saying.

Now TELL me that doesn't sound like discrediting Manny's accomplishments.

Like I said bro... Mayweather fans will not give Pacquiao props, and it's okay admit that bro.

It's not that big a deal.

not quite sure what ure getting at ... i mean no need to fight more than 3 more fights ... as he'll prolly be 37 ... and i expect him to still be undefeated ... but if he pushes it beyond that ... well i don't think he should ... he can retire at 46-0 and not get too greedy w/ the paydays he's seeing right now

I give Mayweather props for his skills, not his resume. Ask yourself this; why didn't the Cotto fight happen in 2007? The answer is simple, Floyd retired in November of 06 because he wanted no part of Cotto or Margarito at that time. Does that mean Floyd would have lost? I can't say, but I sure as hell can say he benefited fighting a 2012 Miguel Cotto who had his soul stripped away. Any boxing enthusiasist will tell you that even though Miguel got his redemption against Margarito, he is a shadow of what he was when he fought Mosley in 08.

Mayweather knows when to fight big name fighters (De La Hoya, Mosley, Cotto) when they are past being a real threat. Floyd has been a bigger name in the sport of boxing longer than Manny and has had every opportunity to fight "real threats" in their prime, he has elected not to. Manny fought whoever would take a fight with him. It's true that Manny and Floyd have fought almost every big name opponent, but you and I both know that Floyd has more pull in setting these mega-fights up. Bob Arum tells Manny who he fights and we are seeing proof of this right now.

As a boxing fan I am forced to watch fights that should of happened years ago. I'm also forced to listen to the stans of both Floyd & Manny who don't know a god damn thing about boxing.

You're right about Floyd's choice of opponents but then show your bias by giving Pacman a pass.
Look at his 140 resume, the only quality opponent he beat was Cotto at a catch weight.

He could fight Sergio who just called him a coward and volunteered to come down, he could gave JMM the rematch when he first asked for it before the Mayweather fight but he said no out of his own mouth...turned down JMM then fought David Diaz and a cooked DLH. Then he takes the fight 3 years later and still gets scraped. He couldv'e fought Hatton 2/3 years prior. There was no justification for fight Margacheato for a vacant belt fresh off a suspension and a terrible showing....how does Pac get a pass for everything but May gets criticized for being a business man himself?

If Mayweather would've fought Cotto in 2007 he would've won by KO in 6 rounds . Cotto was way too wild back then and would've got caught. IMO Cotto is a better overall fighter now than he was back then .

How do you know it wasn't the other way around?
How do you know that those fighters weren't ducking Floyd?
