I've always preferred Brady historically. It's crazy he's a singular play in each SB against NYG from 5 SB trophies.

But I also respect Peyton's greatness. Game management and reading the defense. He really has no excuse this year.

Orange Julius, DT, Welker, Decker. Ball, Moreno, Hillman. The tackles have done admirably with Clady out.

Defense is fine without Champ. Corners play very physical. LB's fast and fly to the ball. They will need consistent pass rush when the playoffs come. Get on it, JDR.

He didn't last year but when your Defense gives up the game you basically won against Baltimore...what can you do.

Can someone explain DRC coming back to form after they said he was garbage in Philly? Makes no sense

personally -- i see the Broncos as the better team over my pats

i will say though that historically Brady has owned Peyton , and the match up is going to be in cold weather next Sunday night

there is also something to be said about the Pats being in almost every game . other than the Ravens loss in last year's playoffs , the Pats havent lost a game by more than one score in 3 years

Regarding that Baltimore game, he was assisted big time by 14 points from his special teams. Denver got both a punt return and a kickoff return for a touchdown. The jacoby jones touchdown was an unlikely play as well but if you cancel all those plays out Baltimore wins by 7 in regulation.

Im not trying to get into a debate with that one dude on here who always blindly defends Peyton no matter what. Ill just say this. His track record in the playoffs is what it is. All those losses aren't strictly all his fault but in quite a few of them he played nowhere near the level we see from him during the regular season.

He's never won a playoff game when the weather is lower then 40 degrees either. Its cold in Denver, New England, and Cincinnati around January.

Come playoff time this year he has a ton of pressure on him to get the job done. Especially with a loaded team. Lets see if he can deliver.

Agree 100%

I feel like he's got a chip on his shoulder this year. This dude has got to win in it all in rain sleet hail or snow. No more excuses for my man Peyton :smh: |I

To me this year is make or break for him. He's not getting any younger. This team is stacked. Aside from New England, I don't see any of those teams as a serious threat to go into Denver and get win.

He can shut alot of critics up come January if he gets the job done.

that peyton OT pick and rahim moore disaster made everyone forget just how terrible champ bailey played in that game

that being said i expect peyton to play til he is 40-41 so he has a couple of shots left

Black and Decker are square in their prime. Welker on the tail end. Orange Julius emerging.

Moreno is running like a man possessed. Ball and Hillman offer variety. The tackles have stepped up in a major way. Franklin and Clark. In Clady's absence.

Trevathan, Woody flying to the ball. Harris and DRC playing physical. Nacho is a stud, still learning the game. Von isn't in midseason form yet. Knighton's been a plug.

cowboys bye week, I'm going to bed feeling like we won today

For everyone complaining about the roughing the passer call here is the rule listed

Article 9(c) (pg 75):

In covering the passer position, Referees will be particularly alert to fouls in which defenders impermissibly use the helmet and/or facemask to hit the passer, or use hands, arms, or other parts of the body to hit the passer forcibly in the head or neck area (see also the other unnecessary roughness rules covering these subjects). A defensive player must not use his helmet against a passer who is in a defenseless posture — for example, (1) forcibly hitting the passer’s head or neck area with the helmet or facemask, even if the initial contact of the defender’s helmet or facemask is lower than the passer’s neck, and regardless of whether the defensive player also uses his arms to tackle the passer by encircling or grasping him; or (2) lowering the head and making forcible contact with the top/crown or forehead/?hairline? parts of the helmet against any part of the passer’s body. This rule does not prohibit incidental contact by the mask or non-crown parts of the helmet in the course of a conventional tackle on a passer.

And here is the gif again

700

And also the least discussed throwing the QB down by the helmet.

700

So, with that said the call looks correct to me. I would feel the same way if Jordan or Galette did the same thing to Kap.

Bizzare move, made no sense at the time either.  They asked Andre afterwards if he was happy playing in Houston and he said "I have to play out my contract."

"I've always said this is where I wanted to be, so I don't really have anything to say about that," Johnson said. "I still have an ongoing contract."

A lot of websites are posting just the "i have to play out my contract" part but leaving out the rest. Andre wants to stay. hopefully we get a better QB/case gets more experienced by next year. :\

Just looked at next weeks schedule and nothing really jumps out at me except for the SNF game of Denver/New England.

A few games could play a key role in some of these teams' playoff odds. Cowboys vs. Giants, Colts vs. Cardinals, Chargers vs. Chiefs, Bears vs. Rams.

Pierre Garcon later was asked if he was available to comment on the game and said, “Nah, I’m injured.” Soon after that, he walked across the locker room to the trainer’s room, asked for head trainer Larry Hess and said, “Where’s Larry? Put me on the injury report. Ankle.”

LOL.

Of course they'd do that, stories are needed. Hopefully Andre will be to the new QB as Reggie Wayne is to Luck. I have no doubt they'll be drafting a QB (which they obviously should), but I do see Keenum staying as will. Should be a very interesting couple if months to say the least, since a nice house cleaning is on the rise.

Didn't know that KC had 32 new members this year and look at their turn around.

Revis Island vs Megatron

He won't. There will still be people who will come out and say something like "he should have won more than 2" or some stupidity.

Jets/Ravens damn near a do or die scenario. I should've put up the Panthers/Dolphins matchup.

A must-win for the Browns and I can see N.O./ATL being competitive. Short week, divisional rivals, Saints coming off hard-fought game.
