Yessir. I'm a fan. I was using CR5 before this and I loved it but the price tag is crazy on it so I decided to try the whole buffered creatine shtick which is much cheaper. Loving it so far.

much cheaper indeed. right when i got it i started off with 2 pills immidiatly

Bad squat day today. Oh well can't win them all.

Still got some reps in I just felt off. I need to sleep more.

For sure. It's mostly just been a rough few nights of sleep so I haven't really bounced back from being sore like I usually do. Still got like 15 sets in between front and back squats just went relatively light and lower reps.

People sleep (pun intended) on how important rest is.

You killing **** in the gym, you need at least 7 solid hours.

When I had less responsibility, I used to take 2-3 hour naps AFTER the gym not even included regular sleep.

Sleep close to as important as nutrition.

Thats my biggest problem. I average 4-5hrs a night but im all kinds of messed up mentally and taking meds. I do try and take a nap after i work out, most of the time its just laying down staring at the ceiling

Yeah man. I've slept 7 hours in the past 2 days. Usually I get 7 a night. I knew it would be rough walking into the gym but I'm getting back on track tonight.

Yeah you can't go hard in the gym after a few nights of rough sleep. Just isn't happening.

For me to go heavy I have to eat a lot that day and also get a good nights sleep. Super important.

lol not all of us are so blessed 1. to be able to sleep. 2. have that free time in the day to take naps.

i think i've literally only take 10 naps in my entire life. (not including kindergarten which I dont remember napping then. )

The sleep i definitely feel. I dont eat much before i go lift though. Ill have some fruit like a banana or an orange before, maybe a peanut punch too lol.

My routines kinda weird though

Well yeah. I used to work 90 hours a week last year and still made gains. There is no disputing that good sleep will let you lift more though. That's when your nerves and brain get rid of neurotoxin built up all day and not to mention your muscles.

I gotta lift in the pm after I've had a few meals and have been awake for a while. I'm not a morning gym person at all. One time I went in the am and couldn't pull two plates. the week before hit 385 in the evening.

Is that all the food you've had before the gym or just like a snack before you go?

Word thats true. Im just having a tough time getting more than 5hrs no matter when i try and sleep. My meds kinda help in terms of having more energy in the morning but i havent had a good 8hrs straight in a loooong time

I go in the morning mainly because its less crowded so i dont have to wait for equipment since there isnt a wide variety.

Ya i never really been a big breakfast kinda guy. I just gotta have something in my stomach to hold me down til after my workout.

I worked out a theory that losing sleep does affect you at first but over time you just get used to less sleep.

I've seen way too many ppl with busy lives that don't allow them to get much sleep but still kill it at the gym. On some working long hours at work, maybe even having another job on top of that, or going to school at the same time, while raising a family... And still getting a PR in the gym the next day.

For a yr I was doing 6 hours of sleep a night and at the gym was still making gains. I was probably more productive then than I am now at 7 hours a night. There was no Amel curse then.

One of my professors in school was a sleep specialist and this is true to an extent. To a point your body can try and make up for it by putting you in REM sleep a larger portion of the time when you do sleep.

Did u study something sleep related or was ur prof teaching something else but happened to specialize in sleep? I always wondered what talking during sleep means.

At my age I'm lucky to get 5 a night. Most nights it's 4. Naps are nice but they mess up my sleep schedule bad

He was a psychology professor but his specialization was sleep so he'd always go off on tangents talking about sleep.
