Speaking of flyknits a there any sales going on? Haven't pulled the trigger on non dress shoes over a hundred dollars in a while.

I think this might be a tad bit too small.

I know this has been mentioned a few times, but who has a pair of Epaulet chinos? I'm leaning towards purchasing a pair of their chinos, but having difficulty deciding which fabric to go with.

If anyone has any feedback on that, as well as sizing, please chime in. For reference, the 484 chinos over at J.Crew fit me well (sz 31 waist).

Talk to Wis, he's the resident Epaulet Chino connoisseur

J.Crew Factory Shorts in 11inch came in yesterday.

They actually fit great. Better then i thought they would. I will post pics later to show the length. It's dam near perfect.

It's not as slim as the 484. They have a measuring chart in the site that you can refer too. You're a size 31 with the waist let out a bit or 32 with legs tapered a bit with the Epaulet.

Nice double monks!

I was searching around for the off-white Authentics for spring/summer and came across J. Crew's "version." They're trying to pull a fast one, charging an extra $15 for a lace switch. :smh:

From their item description, "We refitted our version with heavy-duty nylon laces for that one-of-a-kind twist. (Other than that, we haven't touched a thing.)"

God. I've been lurking this thread since it's creation, I can't wait till I get my first job. Just graduated VCU in December, so as soon as I start making steady income I'll be in here. Till then, stay classy dressing better. :pimp:

1) Use a clarifying shampoo if you haven't already. Wax and shampoo/conditioner actually leaves residue, which might be a reason why your hair doesn't style the way you want.
2) Use a heat protection spray before you blow dry. The heat is extremely damaging to your hair and scalp.
3) Apply a thickening mouse if your hair is thin.
4) Blowdry your hair upwards..and remember to blowdry starting from the roots of your hair.
5) Apply a thin layer of wax to shape it the way you want. (I find that American Crew fiber works the best on my hair..but you gotta experiment).
6) Use a matte hair spray to keep it in place.

I'd say you covered almost everything I was thinking + a lot more.
One thing that definitely helped me was STOP shampooing everyday. I never put much thought into how it effected my hair but once I started keep track I noticed a huge difference. The day after I shampoo (I shower at night) my hair falls FLAT and has no volume. Now I only shampoo about every 5 days and my hair has never looked healthier.

And co-sign on crew fiber. I also use Grant's Matte Pomade. It has basically the same effect as the crew fiber for me, but I like supporting a little family business like Grant's Pomade.
Thanks for the hair knowledge guys. Looks like i'll need to buy some new products. Seems like a lot of steps just to style it, i'll have to give myself more time in the morning. Haven't used mousse or hair spray since I was a kid.

I probably own most of the American Crew products that are out. I have the gel, forming cream, fiber, and pomade. I usually like one for a few months then don't like using it.
