Dressing Better Vol 2.0

Can't figure out why people are just now, a year later, hopping on the volt Racer bandwagon. Those were THE quintessential Flyknit (in my opinion, of course) when they were first released.

And on that note, sometimes I am very thankful I don't live in the States. NDC would damn near bankrupt me. $120 for Racers? I would cop 3 pairs no questions asked :smokin

To be fair, volt racers was almost impossible to get last year. Hell the trainers took plenty of effort to get a pair if you weren't there when the stock comes up at NDC, RRS, etc... or if you aren't refreshing the FK thread every 2 minutes.

1, they probaly didn't like the price.

2. They were limited

3. They weren't as known or critically acclaimed like Flyknits are now.

4. Who cares, shoes are awesome.

I had no problems getting my pairs (and this includes "rare" pairs like the Blue Glow Trainers). Maybe I was just lucky...

And I agree they are way more popular now but last year during the Olympics they were released as a halo shoe for Nike and the buzz surrounding them was through the roof. I guess everyone is fed up with the Trainers, which is understandable given the wack colourways Nike has been releasing lately.

Regarding the price, cry me a river. My pairs average around $200 shipped to Canada :x

Where are you located? I always thought you were in NY like many other members here

RFX with the avy change. How will I know it's you without the Man of Steel there, punching through a fire wall, putting us in check? :frown:

I wasn't in a hurry to get my pair but I certainly couldn't just go online and grab a pair. FNL sold out quick, RRS sold out quick, NDC crashed and sold out quick and that is maybe a few hours after it was posted in the FK thread. I actually had to track down a pair at a Fleet Feet B&M to get a pair of the volt trainers and even then, I was lucky they had my pair since most are sold or their stocks shipment was all over the place. Racers are much more rare than trainers back then too so when they get stocked, people go crazy especially the volts.

I still do not see as much hype as there was before though, I think it just peaked more interest now that they are easier to get and the Lunar Ones+ are more readily available and in-store to see and feel the flyknit tech up close.

I wear the same socks and break out the camp socks as well. It's also dependent on the footwear ie Chucks and Desert Boots are not great choices to combat the cold.

Of all the items available from the GQ's BDNMDA capsule collection with Gap,

Aviator Nation items will most likely be the absolute last to be purchased.

Damb, I think the crewnecks and sweatpants are kinda cool. I guess they do look kind of juvenile though.

Just wanted to stop in and say whats up, been lurking the thread the past week or so, I also follow a few of you on instagram through tsbmen i guess i lost my old nt username, i'm actually going through the entire thread i'm on page 240 lol. I ove that so many of you still rock sneakers, i switch back and forth but as of late have rarely thrown on sneakers, but a homie of mine who is also stepping it up is still very much on his casual steez and ksteezy has unknowingly helped him a lot. ksteezy also doesn't know i have a swag jack folder and i got a couple of his pics in there /no stalker lol. I plan to be around, this thread is right up my alley and gets me through work.
