NT hoopers how do you get out of a shooting slump?

Shoot free throws, try to get an easier look at the basket, maybe taking closer shots.

Back to basics....

95% of the time it's 1 of these 3 things:
- your timing is off, rhythm from gather to release is disjointed - work on the feeling of staying connected
- your shooting elbow is flaring out
- square shoulders through finish

Shoot confidently my dude :pimp:

This is when it's a pick up game:

- Shoot baskets where you're around 2 feet away. Make sure that stroke, pause, is looking right - And that you're use to seeing the ball go in.

go hard in the paint. u don't need to shoot jumpers the whole game. try setting up your teammates, or off ball movements. set good screens, box out, etc.

Keep shooting. Shooters shoot. It'll come back around. Make sure your form is how it was when u were making them, then just relax. You're prolly thinkin yourself out of those buckets.

See if you are getting lazy with your form too. Goose neck; Cookie Jar; hand in the rim

aight i will take these tips to the court.
I've been struggling the past few weeks since i won my last league.

I'm a 20 pt man with ease and I haven't been getting that, its just my offense have been lacking.
I've been missing a lot of my usual comfortable shots, I think its all in my mind tho.

Just keep shooting till you get your stroke back. If your still having trouble after an extended period of time look at your shot mechanics. You might be doing something wrong when it comes to your overall form. I understand where you coming from, it has happened to all of us from time to time.

go to the free throw line and just keep shooting work on your form make sure everythings good ie shoulders square, elbow in palm off ball on release, good flick, make sure ball is center in hand stuff like that

This is a easy question to answer..

Keep shooting!!

Whenether during the game..before the game..or after the game..

Practice makes perfect..

Another thing is, just keep your confidence up. Someone said it here, but there are other ways to maintain your confidence if your shot isn't falling. You can set up your teammates, do things defensively that can lead to easy buckets at the other end. But all in all, just keep shooting. Have that shooters mentality where if this shot doesn't fall, the next one will.

In a pickup game, you abandon the jumper & go to the rim & hope the jumper comes back in the next game.

You have much less possessions than you would in a 40 minute game, so you can't keep chucking up bricks & leading your team to an L.

If you can't handle the ball, then just wait for ya man to turn his head & cut to the rim.

In a league, you do the same thing unless your coach has you on a really long leash. If that's the case, then keep shooting.
