Nike Employee's

Learning technologies?
Learning everything about shoes, clothing, etc. You learn about it all so you can break down every aspect of a shoe. It sounds hard but if you listen in training and practice it a few times it becomes second nature.

WOW, man that does seem hard. Do they have an IT department? Maybe I can apply there. I'm good with computers. lol

How do you remember all that stuff for every shoe? How long is training before they put you out there?

You get a few hours of training but a lot of knowledge is gained by being on the floor surrounded by product and by being listening to other employees talk about product to consumers as well as them helping you learn it. For shoes it is simple. Theres a few key technologies you need to know that are then mixed and matched on different shoes so once you know the few techs you are fine.

Just a heads up , ALL nike.com releases are now discounted with swoosh. I havent seen anything that hasnt been discounted in months. I heard about them going back to this awhile ago, but never realized it went into effect until i saw the georgetown xi lows for 40% off :smokin:smokin:smokin

Hoping it stays through the aqua 8 release

Quick question,

Are the family members we listed on our "Families" allowed to buy things from outlet stores directly and still use 40% like the online swoosh would?

Outlets = 30%
Swoosh/Retail stores = 40%
Employee Store = 50%

What info would they need to use the outlet 30%?

Just your employee number and an iD to verify they are on your list. (If your new though it may not show up right away though)

Parenthesis around the word family is sus.

You better have put actual family on your list cause employees get terminated ALL the time for listing friends or even "cousins".

No they dont......They get terminated when they put anyone down that takes advantage of it and get caught doing dumb stuff. There is no way for them to verify the person is or isnt your brother/sister, husband/wife.

That's what I've heard as well. Nobody is doing a background check on who you list lol. My cousin is a Nike corporate employee at HQ and he will hook it up here and there or ask me if I want something. It helps that he's an 11.5 and I'm a 12, but he told me it can't be a monthly thing. I get the hookup about 2-3x a year though, more than enough for me...

Sounds about right, when I had a pal over there it was the same... Once or twice... sad to say he quit but it was for better pastures for him

LOL nah that's taken out of context. No idea why I put quotes. Not parenthesis lmao

Hooking it up from someone who works at Nike is different than listing a friend as family. My homie interned at Nike for the summer last year and hooked me up with everyone (free). He didnt dare list me as a family member though. People are gonna get away with it here and there but it is gonna catch up eventually. Ive heard numerous stories of people getting terminated for dumb **** like that.

do i get my employee number at training camp? if they're providing 1 pair of pants and 2 shirts am i expected to buy more clothes immediately for work?

You wear the current floorset and staff dress. You dont pay for it but the taxes for the clothes come out of your next check.

They were lying........They either got fired for stealing OR they didnt want to just tell you that you cant use it and needed an excuse.

I had a swoosh account for 3 years from someone i honestly didnt even know. Im an admin in a local facebook sneaker group and he needed help getting jordan releases because he always worked and in exchange, he added me on his swoosh account and it allowed me to log in and purchase whatever i wanted, whenever i wanted.

I can say in the last year ive purchased 8-10 Nike ID`s, numerous Mens and kids shoes of all sizes........Jerseys and everything. As lon as you dont do dumb **** like try to have items shipped to an address other than your billing address, then you`re good. It wont let you purchase more than $1000 at a time, but if you do it on different days, then nothing happens.

Its the people that try to be all extra by shipping to different addresses and different states and all different sizes that gets people caught up.
