Nike Employee's

Two questions..

1. Does Niketown pay weekly or bi-weekly?

2. How exactly does buying release day sneakers(Jordans, foams, etc) work? Footlocker has set number of sneakers allowed to be put aside for employees based on boxes received because customers come first. Does Nike work similar or is it simply a wait on line process for employees.

Ok so I called this Nike recruitment guy named Chuck twice today and he didn't pick up so I left two messages. What days are ther Nike recruitment people usually in their offices?

Thanks, I wonder whether that applies if I'm working a release.

Also Nike recruiters are usually available until 5pm. If you leave a message containing a callback number they'll contact you that day or the next business day.
(In my experience)

Ok thanks. Because he called me last Thursday and when I called back at 4 I left a message. So he called me back around 9 on Friday saying that he was off work around that time and when i got the chance to call him back at 1 it went to voicemail. I'm not sure if he was even in today because I called at 10 and 10:30 am and left two messages. I just want him to call back because I'm trying to get this job. Is he going to interview me over the phone?

Within this last month the 3 times I've spoken to a recruiter they have all been between 10-11am. Once you are able to get a hold of them they will interview you first over the phone and if satisfied schedule you for a face to face interview. Usually a group interview of no more than 3-4 people by 3 hiring managers.

5% of the stock will be raffled for each release. Winner then will be eligible to receive their discount on the day of the release.

If you do not win you won't be eligible for your discount until 48 hours after the release date.

Ok thank you. What kind of questions do they ask and who long does the phone interview last?

Really basic question. Should take no longer than 15 minutes.

Speak of the Brand highly ( not that you just like Nike and that you have a lot of shoes) do some research on the history and heritage of Nike and you will skate through not only the Recruiters but also the actual interview at the store.

Ok thank you. The guy called from Cleveland and I live in NY. He hasn't called me back today. I'm starting to wonder if it was even a real Nike recruitment guy.

^ It's always hard to get in contact with the recruiters.

I would suggest you try to contact them more so then waiting for them to call you back. Leave as many messages as it takes until you actually get them to answer or get a call back. Of course all this depends on how bad you actually want the job.

So I'm currently starting my rookie camp this Monday
Let me describe my process for you guys. I applied at all my local Nike and heard back twice, one was at a retail store and the other at a warehouse.

First time I recall getting a call on a Sunday for the phone interview at the retail store, they told me to show up for a group interview Wednesday 3 days later
Guess the interview didn't go well cause I didn't get the job their were 4 people including me in the group. Some questions were
Tell us a little bit about yourself?
Describe a time when you received and bad customer service?
Tell about a time you worked in a group what was your role?
Tell about a time you didn't know how to do something how did you handle the situation?
Tell about a time you weren't good at something and what did you do to improve?
Most important why Nike?
(First interview for Nike had a lot of questions second not so much this is a combination of both interview questions that I can remember their were a few more)
Heard back that I didn't get it after like 3 or 4 days
Second Nike interview at the warehouse I got an email no phone interview like a good 10 days before the interview. I guess this interview went well because I got a job offer. Their were 9 people in my group interview. The following day I got an email for the background check and it was completed the following day. 3 day later probably because they weren't their during those 3 days(weekend) got a call back saying they were going to offer me a position and if I was interested
Of course I said yes and they gave me the dates for the rookie camp
The hiring process about 2 weeks for me

I will have questions to ask soon hopefully someone can answer them

Ok here are a few of my questions
Does discount work with Nike Id?
How many passes?
Does discount work on j?
If you make swoosh account for family members and they purchase the same stuff does it flag your account since you created it for them?
Follow up question can I buy a pair of j and my family member of the same kind or is it one overall?
Can someone elaborate on that 5% of stock thing
Obviously their is the no buy a large number of the same kind of shoes.
But if their is something important idk or didn't ask let me know

had nothing to do with the question but thanks for the information

gonna try to help you to the best of my knowledge

yes there is swoosh on ID
I think passes for the employee store are at least two at a time could be more
it works on J's if they are put on swoosh.
no unless you are buying a bunch of pairs
different accounts so you should be good on one each

Let me drop a few cents on working with the company. For the past few pages, the majority of the discussion is about employee discounts and how to get your hands on limited product. That's all fun and great, but I hope most of you who have hopes on joining the company have the ambition to turn this job into a career. I don't know where everyone is in their lives. Maybe you're aiming to work as a Nike employee as part time under/over, and I'm sure there are most of you who are itching to score that full time position within corporate. As a former employee, Nike is without question of a doubt one of the most inspiring and fulfilling workplaces, amongst companies like Google and Apple. Prior to working with Nike, I had the chance to work with other footwear boutiques. So working at Nike was a goal of mines, and it happened. Even if it meant I was a part time employee, it was something that I've wanted since I was a kid. So here's my insight for those folks who want to remain with the company and excel.

1. Network - I can't stress this one enough. You need to create your own exposure to upper management and your colleagues. If there is an opportunity at participating NRC or NTC, make sure you are there. Not only are you representing your brand, you're also showing that you care about your job and hell, you're getting a free workout with great coaches and probably socializing with new and old friends. Are you the shy type? Now is the time to crack the shell open and let your personality shine!

2. Focus on ONE thing you're good at - It's really easy to get caught up in being interested in every department of the business. You don't really want to be the "jack-of-all-trades". With any HR department, recruiters not only love to see bachelors degree's, but focus on one's particular strengths and potential. The company loves to see people who master fundamentals. Progression will come if you are patient, hard-working and goal-oriented!

3. Don't splurge - Don't be the dude that's buying a new pair every single week. Remember, this is a job and your Swoosh account is a perk. Nuff said!

4. Campus Life - The company will remind you of a college! You'll have cliques and crews, etc. Just remember to look out for yourself and rock with a good crowd that has the same mentality and goals as you do. Collaborate and listen!

Anyone know if a Swoosh account applies to the Clearance stuff on NDC too? My wife's friend has an account she never uses and offered to let my wife use it to get me some things for my birthday so I've been looking around and I'd rather scoop stuff like TF pants on Clearance with the Swoosh discount since I'm not that picky about the color. Cause if that works, I'll do it but otherwise I can actually find better deals just being patient at the local outlets. Thanks.
