"Days of Future Past" - New X-Men Movie Release Date (First Class Sequel)

Initially, I thought First class looked alright but I gave in two months ago and the movie wasn't that bad...

I didn't know there was so much hate on it. :lol:
 
First Class was, IMO one of the better Marvel films. Superior to the Sam Raimi Spidey trilogy, and most definitely the last 2 X-Men related films (3, and Origins).


With that said, Days of Future Past. I think they reached into my childhood, with that. Very exicted. I hope Nimrod makes an appearance. He's always been a huge threat to the X-Men.

I think the hair would be the same even if it was a different actor. Might be worse since Olyphant has less hair. Maybe if Wolverine was a sheriff before then Olyphant would've been perfect.

So you want someone who is 5'3 playing the part? It would look really weird on screen. Basically a ****** who is all muscle. I think Jackman is great for the part and he's a beast.
 
Man you guys caught me off guard. I thought First Class was by far the best Marvel movie made. I mean I loved X-Men 1 and 2, as well as Spiderman 1 and 2, but the characters in First class were great.

Opening scene with Magneto in the concentration camps was amazing, the relationship between him and Xavier was great. I know i'm alone in this but I thought it was better or on par with TDK. Anyways i'll get flamed for that opinion, but I digress...

If they keep the idea of up and coming actors, and don't fall victim to just putting the most famous people out there, this sequel should be amazing. Days of Future Past was one of the best story arcs in all of X-Men, and it was even amazing in the cartoon.

I really hope this one comes out as good as I imagine it will, I will be anxiously waiting 2014 for this...

i want a rated R wolverine movie with a good adaptation of the classic yellow and blue suit. i truly believe if they rebooted a wolverine movie and did it right it could surpass TDK or avengers. Wolverine is one of the most known and over used characters in all of comics. i NEED to see wolverine go berserk and just destroy everybody. Maybe take the TDK route and have it focus on his inner battle against his own beast. While we're at it make it a trilogy.

The first X-Men really had a lot of stuff wrong. I remember seeing in the theaters and coming out super dissapointed. To me, the only person that they nailed was Professor X and Magneto. Everyone else seemed a bit off for some reason wether it was the acting or just the look of the character. I was so pissed that Rogue didn't have a southern accent and was some little girl.

But after the 2nd X-men, some of the characters sold me and I got used to Hugh Jackman bing some tall Wolverine.
 
Damn I'm one of the few that like 1st class. I will be waiting for this Sequel. Bring in Bishop, Nimrod, Cable & Forge and it could be the best X-men movie ever.
 
First people hating on First Class and now Hugh is the worst Wolverine ever? Some of you are too much.
 
First Class was an amazing Magneto movie, wrapped in a garbage, badly paced, miscast, grating and mediocre X-Men movie. Parts of that movie are almost unwatchable, January Jones is the absolute worst and Mystique sucked.

That said...it's the 2nd best X-Men movie (not sayin much) + the Magneto and Shaw parts are probably better than anything of any X-Men movie.

It's a shame they didn't leave this as two separate films (Magneto origin and X-Men prequel).
I'll still check for Days of Future Past though. :\

First Class massacred the Xmen origins and story but I thought Fassbender and McAvoy were just too good as magneto and xavier, add Kevin Bacon as Shaw and they got me into the story. The rest of the characters were pretty weak but a Days of The Future Past could be exactly what this franchise needs. I thought the first Xmen was very similar in that it didn't really respect the origins in the comics but was also saved by the perfect casting of Stewart and McKellen which lead to a great sequel in Xmen 2 where Jackman really shined as Wolverine.

But that doesn't matter to be honest. A good movie > an accurate adaptation. I'd love it if they could do both, but if one is going to suffer, it should be how accurate it is to the comics.
The first one was well received by critics, by the audience, and by the box office. It wasn't perfect, but it was still very good.

Jackman is doing a good job?? Have you seen the wolverine movie?? Horrible in all areas, including acting.
 
What I'm hoping for is that this movie retcons the horrible X3 movie so that they can continue with first class stories and modern stories. Hopefully they can get both young and old Prof X and Magnetos for this. It could be epic, but Fox and Sony have no faith from me with Marvel properties.

Since it's gonna be a time travel movie...there's a good chance they can retcon all of the garbage without just pretending like the other films don't exist, like the new Star Trek did.
