Air Jordan retro IV THUNDER QUICKSTRIKE 12/22 before the end of the year

I bought a pair of Cavs for $200 in-person from a guy I found on CL in San Jose last month. Good connection came out of it too. $290 is crazy talk. As is the Militaries being the most slept on Jordan of the year. They were slept on cause they suck. That blue isn't even close to the right color. The military blues are a great shoe that Nike hasn't made properly since 1989.

Bring on the Lightnings!!!

My collection is ready...

Does anyone else feel bad for the people who paid $500+ for the Thunders? I mean, the least Jordan Brand could've done was altered the retro a little so the originals still hold some value. People paid $500-$1000+ for these and then they go and release them for $160. And even though it's been 6 years, that's still too short to be retroing shoes IMHO. I would've been pissed if I copped mine for retail OR if I spent that stack on Ebay within the last year or so...

I'm seeing a lot of ebay auctions ending in the $225-$245 range..

Some of them are ending with no bidders..

Selling for $225-$245=Reseller flop unless you have a FSR.

Are people buying cuz they like.....or just potential resell? It shouldn't matter what they are going for. Trust me. I been collecting for years. The least like colorways ALWAYS go for super high prices down the road. Laker 1's, militarys 4's, laney and silver 5's, carmine 6, maroon 6, aqua 8's, olive 9's now.....should I continue. Those cav 4's and thunder 4's will climb in a few years

I got charged twice from Finishline. The day it came out I copped and now yesterday? I got a shipping confirmation the next day I copped. It's just why did they charge again yesterday if they did already? One of them will be removed right??

@xzero. Not the 2012 retros. Those are all off! I'm talking about the originals and even the poor quality 2006 retros. The military 4's set for a longgggg time because it wasn't a true chicago bulls colorway. The retros in 2006 was at least close to the original with the off white

WTF? Laney 5's, Carmine 6's, Maroon 6's, Aqua 8's all are pretty well liked, at least now they are, and Olive 9's sold out right away just a month ago. Your examples were unpopular when they released so not many were bought and there aren't a lot of them today, that coupled with the new liking for them makes them a tough and expensive cop. These sold out so plenty of people have them.

Champs didnt sell them in GS so my wife was sad but found em at Jimmy Jazz and told her she couldnt get em till today

There's nothing twisted.  I'm just hoping they drop, lol.

Also, they can't get "Banned" treatment since they were never banned, but I get what you mean (true to the OG).
I understand that concept. But no one called them the Banneds until the recent retro. OGs are called the Breds as far as I am concerned. I call the Nike Air treatment the Banned treatment because I never heard anyone call them the Banneds until the Banneds came out.

And that's exactly what i am talking about. The want factor will be greater in the years ahead.

They're called Banned 1's because that was the whole theme. The X, the date, etc. It really had nothing to do with Nike Air being on the tongue.

I know for the upteenth millionth time.
No one called the DMP 1s the Banneds? Or the release before that, or the OGs. I know why they called the banneds. If someone can tell me why no other iteration of this shoe was called the banneds but the the ones from last year then I will stop calling the Nike Air TREATMENT Banned TREATMENT. But if you don't have a good reason then I dont care to hear it. I will continue calling the the Banned Royals Banned Royals.

Again. I KNOW. Doesnt change the fact that no one CALLED THEM THE BANNEDS then. Every OG head I know called them the BREDS. When people say Banned they are ALWAYS referring to the BANNEDS that just dropped.

Its like I am speaking a different language in here.

Yes it is like you're speaking a different language, cause it's not making any sense and you come off as not having any frame of reference. They are called the Banned 1's and not the BRed because of the Banned theme to the packaging (box and paper), the shoe's upper, insole, etc. It had special elements that made the colorway notable and not to be confused with the other 2 retros. The whole point was to celebrate the OGs being banned by the NBA. What's so hard to understand about why they're not talked about as "BReds"? They have a big effin X on the back of them and all over the inside. It stands apart from the other retros, especially since this was a B-grade run that never got a proper release.

When people talk about the (hopeful) "Banned treatment" of a shoe - which has only happened in the last year, they're referring to high quality materials that don't align with the current retro quality and bring back features that are more akin to a late 90's retro or OG. The impressive aspect of that shoe is the quality of materials. Nike Air was a nice touch, but not the only aspect noted on these. That's why I don't think these Royals coming out will meet that Banned standard as far as the quality of a latter-day retro even if they do have Nike Air on them.

It's due to the fact of the accentuations and its correlation to the commercial. a good example is the Jordan 7 Olympics. Everyone called them the Olympics, but when they added the golden heart to the 2010 retro everyone called them "for the love of the game" or ftlog 7's. No one called this year retro that, did they? Similar to if JB released the black/red 1's with the Nike logo without the x and sole design, no one would call them banned 1's which circles back to the original argument about the royal 1's.

I think what he's saying is that initially, like when they were first retroed, Laney & Silver Vs, Maroon VIs, Olive IXs (those I can speak on for sure) just sat there unsold and even went for clearance type prices.  It wasn't til years later that the prices and demand even for "re-retros" skyrocketed.  ****...for a while, it seemed like the only reason people bought Olive IX was to customize them.

Would it be safe to use a different card but with the same shipping address?
