So... did gameplay diverge between the two systems into two similar but different games, or is it basically the same game (besides using different controllers) like you'd expect with a port? Is the Wii U version "dumbed down" from the Switch version etc?

It's the same game, but the Switch Version is the better version in terms of performance and visuals.

IGN did a comparison in the vid below.

Still on the fence regarding my pre-order. Waiting on reviews of Zelda before making my final decision.

How long do Zelda games usually take to finish I've actually never played one

3D Zelda games are usually 20+ hours to complete. To completely 100% them, it really varies, but they can take up to 40+ hours to complete. The series is all about exploration so I try not to rush through. These games are supposed to be savored and the charm is in the small details.

The good thing about this new game is it's not as linear as past games. They wanted to match the feeling of the very first Zelda where they just drop you in the world and you get to do anything, even go to the final boss any time you want. You probably will get killed, but you can if you want. Nothing is supposed to be off limits and the world itself is the main feature to the game.

I know everyone is hyped about the switch, but I've personally just been chillin in the cut for a Wii U.

My question is what do you guys think is the smarter cop. A barely used Wii U without any games. Or one with a lot of wear but also a lot of games installed for +$30 ($150 vs $180)

I'm just wondering if you guys think I should be concerned with the reliability on the one that's been played a lot more.

I have one I never use. Will send to you for free if you want. I've literally turned it on once.

Question for you. Since nintendo has been reaching out to a lot of the youtube community, even inviting a bunch of y'all to their events, did they ever reach out to you since you're really popular on youtube and you reach a pretty big demographic?

Whenever I'm interested in knowing how long a game takes to beat I'll google:

*name of game* hltb

And it'll direct you to this site how long to beat, www.HowLongToBeat.com

There's also a color scale associated with how much variation in reporting there is. Average times in blue are reliable, red not so much.

Why not wait until after the Switch launches? Surely Wii U prices will dip after that

Idk  Nintendo prices hold pretty well though. Honestly I'm not hurting for games anyway I might still get the Switch and get the games as they come. I know they'll remaster all the U games
