Nice. Sounds like a typical SF/Bay Area tech company. Your CEO is probably under 50.

^most startups have that type of stuff. i remember working at a startup and it was like a hs/college atmosphere. good/bad in a way.

my sister had a friend that worked at twitter. was one of the very early employees. he worked at google with a couple of top people. must be good when you can quit a job like that and not worry about money

Work at an authorized Mercedes Benz dealer here in the city as intern. Love the office/business/corporate life

Would it be bad if I started wearing ties everyday? No one here wears ties ever, and we have tie tuesdays and like 3 people do it. I used to wear a tie every day when I started, until people started making comments about it and I didnt want to be that guy, but I really want to wear one. I feel more focused when I have a tie on for some reasn

ties are symbols of the archaic corporate culture that still tries to brainwash the masses. they tie in professionalism with a look, but its based on your ability to efficiently and effectively complete work

...i've always liked horizontal striped ties. I was watching NBC Nightly News last night and Brian Williams had on a pink and black horizontal striped pattern.

Mannnnnnnnnnnnnn......

When I first started working here I wore Piston 6s to work for casual Friday, and they told me that I should try not to wear "flashy sneakers" I've seen dudes wear bright colored chucks, but I let that slide cause theyre not basketball kicks. But yet, this guy wears whatever he wants and today I saw him with Laser 4s on his feet.... Clearly no one has called him out on this, I'm about to start wearing sneakers man IDC

I got promoted last year and moved to a different department. When I looked at my new desk, it was dusty and full of this sticky substance (no, not that). One of my colleagues told me that the "office slob" used to sit where I sit now. She used to tape pictures onto the actual desk. When the tape was out of adhesive, she would tape over it or use duct tape for it. I had to use hand sanitizer. Yes! Hand Sanitizer to get the substance off. :x

I sit right behind this crazy English woman. She reeks of cigarettes and she sings. Out of nowhere, she will just bust out in tune and everybody is wondering what is going on? This same lady also likes to burp. A lot. Also, she is going through menopause and she constantly has the fan on rotation. It's winter in Massachusetts!

I sit across from this guy who I think is gay but closets himself. One time, we had an office party but I couldn't attend because I had a final that day. When he came the following day, I asked him how it was. He says "it was not fun because you weren't there" and he proceeds to give me a bear hug. :smh:

The same closeted guy also asked me for my cell phone number. I always try to seperate work friends and friend friends but he put me on the spot. Now, he keeps texting me and he even sent me a picture of himself. I replied back to him to never ever send me a picture of himself again because I see him 40 hours out of the week.

You guys ever talk or have a meeting with someone and the whole time all you smell is their cigarette breath?

I swear, I can't stand the lingering smell of cigarettes
