Well for one I'm not a Trump supporter. I'm an Independent and I voted for Rubio. I am #NeverHillary though. I support fair and balanced discourse, if it wasn't for a few of us this thread would turn into MSNBC. And I know there are people on here that read the thread and never post and they deserve to hear both sides of every argument.
And what has Trump done that is hateful? That's a nice liberal buzz word like bigot but I never hear you guys back it up with examples.

Please I've been going back and forth with NTers on a range of topics for years and it's always cordial. It's only when you super libs get backed into a corner you start lashing out with personal attacks, like you just did. So who's really at fault? Dude you have accused me and my family members of begging for handouts in the past when I say support progressive policies, even when I say i'm down to pay more in taxes for stuff that won't benefit me directly.
You take tons of shots at me, only when I clap back you want to play victim.

Trump's candidature speech?
His multiple lawsuits regarding discrimination in his apartment complexes?
The Central Park Five ad?
Him not being bothered by the support of openly racist organizations?
Him hiring illegal immigrants to work on his construction projects and paying them less than minimum wage.
Him clamoring for a return to US manufacturing, yet, he hasn't stopped making clothing in Mexico (or even sold his name to US based manufacturers).
Him banning journalists from his rallies because he doesn't like what they write about him.
Every time any of these things get mentioned, you either disappear or brush it off.

Vote for him if you want to find out if he's for real. I don't.
I'll live with Hillary. She might not be my first choice among all the candidates that ran this year, we may say that she's cynical for adjusting her stance on various issues, but it is also the sign of someone who can work with the other side in order to get things done.

I would've possibly voted for Kasich or another candidate. I've voted for both Republican and Democrat presidential candidates before.
So when people regurgitate this line about NT being a liberal love fest, it's hard to take it seriously.
It's akin to trying to discuss medicine with someone who shows up at the table saying vaccines cause autism. There's a 1% chance they may actually know medicine and have an intelligent, well-informed argument. But 99% of the time they're completely ignorant not just of vaccines but of medicine as a whole. So I can automatically ignore them.
I don't agree with some things Rusty or others say, but at least i know there's a well-informed argument in there so it's worth thinking about. But when i hear people regurgitating campaign slogans packaged for those who are not experts in economics, politics, etc, it's a waste of time to assume a healthy discussion will ensue.
Anyway... I was watching Fargo season 2 and i love the portrayal of Reagan. Great show. I suggest everyone watch.

You champion those Robin Hood policies so I made the assumption that your beliefs came from personal experience. That's why I made my accusation. When you broke it down about your fam, I never made the accusation again.
And I said that cutting taxes are very important to me but it's not the only metric I judge candidates on. And I've said myself that I am selfish, and have actively tried to take the negative stigma off the word because I don't believe there's anything wrong with looking out for yourself first.

I don't believe that I should be forced to help others through taxes if I don't want to. That's pretty much my whole stance in a nutshell. I'm against anything that takes money out of my pocket and gives it to someone else. The most important thing in anyone's life is themselves and then their family. And if you're well off enough to want to help others, go for it. But I'm fully against forced altruism. I'm my brother's keeper not my neighbors.
Now what part of that offends you?

Rusty said "begging for handouts" he was paraphrasing me. I've never used that phrase in my life. Although, I've had used handouts. And honestly, I've said how I've felt so many times I just kind of assumed people knew without me having to go in depth...again.
And yes, I know its selfish. I've acknowledged that many times. But the thing is, I don't believe that's a bad thing.
And may I ask, what are you doing to repay all the people that were forced to invest in you when that money could have gone elsewhere?
