Dog, If this momentum keeps up, 2018 MIGHT be worth looking forward to. Just gotta get the too cool for school and hotep groups out to vote.

Alienating groups aint work out to well in the last election, my g.

Not alienating but picking up on trends I've seen. People not voting because "it's whatever, I don't care" and "the system is set up to make us think that our votes matter" need to be shown that in most cases, your vote does have an affect, especially at the state and local level.....can u dig it my brutha?

If you sit there and watch your healthcare being taken away, your family barred from entry to the country, your govt employed family lose their jobs, the essential disregard of white supremacist extremists and the rise of hateful rhetoric against you etc etc, then you earn what's coming with your apathy.

Of course I dig.

This was ALL before Trump became president though. I've talked about this before, you have people who can't even vote talking politics. I can guarantee you that the "my vote doesn't matter" crowd will be a fraction of the size they were this go around.

I was in the "too cool to vote" camp that you speak of. I am off that, as are millions of other people.

Record turnouts in the next election. Watch.

I hope so but remember it took thousands of dead US troops, mass unemployment, home foreclosures, and a recession to get people to vote in record numbers in 08 so I certainly hope we don't have to repeat all that tragedy.

That's what perplexes me. Most of the people I've seen who say this stuff on social media don't have real great jobs that have the great benefits and don't come from a wealthy family, just goes to show ignorant and self-centered they are. It's always bigger than one person but they don't realize that

Think that's part of a lot of the outrage over the muslim ban, banning people from a lot of the countries that the US was complicit in destabilizing and creating giant refugee crises as a result is deplorable

You bombed them and destroyed their homes and now you cant even let them escape the nightmare you created over some xenophobic attitudes? That's just cruel :smh:

Imagine if the States had refused all the refugees from WW1 and WW2...

They did actually. The US rejected a good number of Jews seeking asylum from the Nazis during WWII. The lucky ones were able to find refuge in Central/Latin America and the Caribbean. The rest - a lot of them - went back to Germany where they ended up in concentration camps.

I'm talking about after the war, they hadn't entered it yet when they were rejecting those refugees. Still cruel but I was talking about after they've had a clear hand in the damage. I've heard about the ones who ended up in concentration camps :smh:

Trevor Noah is hilarious. Funny guy that likes to add a little politics to his comedy act.

Watched one of his acts on netflix. He talked a little bit about the rise of nationalism around the world :

'If there's one country that can't complain about immigration, it's Britain! That country colonized everywhere! ' Loose paraphrase, of course.

But he does make a good point. It's these countries that are most guilty of colonization that be complaining about immigration now. Smh lol
Michael che killing it for me right now on weekend update.. his special that's on Netflix is pretty funny too.. his black lives matter joke is hilarious

How is this alienating people though?  That's what they are.  That's what you were.  And a ton of you guys were PROUD of it.  Nothing wrong with calling it how it is.

Thankfully you've seen the light.

Forgot to mention that I had to put a patient on 1:1 observation the other day. Had a racist, mental patient telling every other patient he saw : 'Trump is going to deport you. Send you ****** back to Africa. It's president's day and by the end of the day I'll be sleeping in a mansion and you'll be stuck here.'

Since the unit is 99 percent black, that wasn't a smart thing to do. Had to put him on 1:1 for his own protection [emoji]128514[/emoji]

The White House is barring counselor Kellyanne Conway from television appearances after the high-profile aide made multiple on-air statements contradicting the Trump administration’s official stance, CNN reported Wednesday.

President Trump's approval rating has slipped to 38 percent, a new national poll finds.

The Quinnipiac University survey released on Wednesday says that only 38 percent of Americans approve of Trump's job performance, while 55 percent disapprove of the commander in chief.

According to Quinnipiac, the 17-point difference in Trump's approval rating is the worst he's fared in a poll since taking office in January.

An earlier survey from the pollster this month registered Trump with 42 percent approval and 51 percent disapproval.

Like I said before, the **** don't affect them so they can be free to do as they please. The same cats who will write in Harambe or vote for Jill Stein are the same cats givin dude a pass which is an issue I have w/ the "progressive" Democrats. But stuff like this is always at the expense of minorities, mainly black people. And why not, they don't need us until 2018 and 2020 when it's time to "put the past behind us and band together to fight the good fight."

But hey, sticks and stones right.
That it is different bunch imo. Most progressive white democrats mean well and are often misguided, and ignorant to how bad things really are. Yeah they might vote for Stein and Harambe but that is really a **** you at the DNC, not really black people. They just sometimes underestimate the collateral damage of taking risk like these., but still they are the faction of the left coalition will support policy to help the marginalized. They are the ones protesting Milo coming to their campus and will call him a white supremacist to his face, even if they are no equipped to debate him

It is moderate, libertarian leaning democrats that are the problem. They don't mind the boot of white supremacy being eased up a lil, but it has to be on the white man's terms. They act like making sure white people not getting blowback for their comments are equally as important as securing social justice for minorities.

Moderate and Progressives might look the same from time to time, but we have to make sure we don't bunch them together. In the fight for social justice, one group is your natural ally, the other is group that will throw you under the bus without hesitation if it is politically convenient for them.
Neo-Libs really aren't in any way "libertarian", they act that way in large part because one of their core ideologies is extreme pragmatism.

At least not libertarianism in it's truest form, and not like the Neo-Con Republicans who call themselves that because they are socially moderate and like to do drugs but fiscally are still corporatist.

Don't get it twisted tho, I'm not really a fan of the free market zealots either, but they are kind of their own thing with right and left wing factions.
