At first I thought the beard was just the look of a grizzled fabled Jedi Master, now with these new rumors it looks like the beard of a hermit :smh:


Mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn they better have a good reason for Luke being away. Still not a doubt in my mind that this movie is going to be absolutely incredible, but this Luke stuff :smh:

I'd definitely watch, no doubt. But that sounds like 2 movies, honestly, possibly even a whole new trilogy.

And 'Jacen' could easily be a separate spinoff, and title. :smokin

I agree. It's why I'm so adamant Disney is stupid if they just toss 23 years worth of great material. :smh:

There is an hour long Phineas and Ferb Star Wars special this saturday on Disney channel at 9pm ET.

I don't know.... It seems Star Wars will be alot closer to the Marvel model then we thought, they might want to really reintroduce him for his spinoff.

So we already have a teaser trailer, plot details and looks at the 3 main characters for Batman V Superman which comes out mid 2016 but Disney still hasn't told us anything about Episode VII :smh: :smh: I'm getting pissed off again :lol:

Just reveal Hamill in custom and give us character names... Why is that so much to ask for :smh:

I would expect better from the empire strikes back writer. :smh:

Also if Lucas created the universe (before he sold it) did he tell the writers what would happen or not? Also is he doing this with the new trilogy? Not actually writing but giving ideas ?
 
He gave Disney 'treatments' when he sold the franchise to them. Now if they're following them or not is anyones guess. He is also a consultant on the movies, and they have consulted him as recently as February when they were still ironing out the script.




I'm really hoping that this recent rumor is just false smoke from Lucasfilm. I mean, other than Driver, the big 3, Lupita, and of course the TMZ photos that leaked, they've been able to keep everything close to the chest. When Andy Serkis and Max Von Sydow were announced they hadn't even been rumored, although they made perfect sense for the franchise :lol:

And of course JJ is known for being one of the most OC directors in Hollywood when it comes to keeping stuff secret... So I don't know.

I do firmly believe that the movie will open up with a search for Luke tho, just too many people have reported that. I don't believe he just left after RoTJ and has been gone for a decade plus though.

So they started filming today on an island called Skellig Micheal, right near Ireland. It's only a 3 day shoot and only two actors will be on the island. One of those actors is Mark Hamill.

Edit. The other actor appears to be Daisy Ridley. Of course other actors might be coming/added in post production etc, but again it's only a 3 day shoot and Mark + Daisy were the only actors to arrive with the crew.

Definitely where Luke has been hiding out. And also looks like a good place for Jedi training with the monastery setting.

Yeah, it looks great - but it's caused some problems with UNESCO - something about nesting birds and not having a permit to shoot there.
