Never had a problem with the special editions. That argument up there about the Despecialized (First i'm ever hearing of such a thing. Kudos to whoever spent their time and effort on that.) editions is comedy gold though.

Yeah that's one topic where it's not my battle. I've seen both versions and I don't really care. Other than laughing at creepy Anakin next to Obi-Wan and Yoda at the end of ROTJ.

I was never :wow: over the OT's visuals and level of special effects when I was younger. It looks like a set of movies released in the late 70s and early 80s.

The prequels are somewhat defendable, but a majority of the changes to the special editions are straight stupid. I mean the CGI is straight up trash.

Exhibit A:

No point in adding this scene to ANH, especially with that god awful CGI.
The CGI is still a massive step up from the 1997 version:

They should redo it one last time when the CGI is advanced enough and leave it at that.

And noone should buy burned blu rays. They are highly unstable and because of that no majory company uses burned blu rays. You're better off pressuring Disney to release the original unaltered trilogy on proper, factory pressed blu rays.

Pretty much. Its one of those things that i'd tell someone "I honestly don't care" if they ever brought it up in a conversation with me.

I'm actually interested in seeing the OT with absolutely no CG
so the original editions?

The labels and covers, how did you find the paper you needed and the covers themselves?

Couple friends of mine are looking into doing this and I want mine to be flawless. Lookin like I just bought em at Best Buy or some ****

I have an Epson printer and I used Epson Matte paper for mine. Needless to say, the final print came out really well...

I can only vouch for Epson printers/Epson paper( matte, glossy, luster, etc..)  based on me taking up graphic design in college. It's the best, bar none, in my opinion...

With that being said, the artwork isn't mine and it was supplied by other Star Wars fans online.

   check your PM...

Your covers are the one I really wanted but nobody had them. Those are the SW OT covers I think of and grew up with :nthat:

Yes because there is a chosen one meant to bring balance to the force. His decisions sway the prophecy to where it runs through his bloodline. At least that's how I've always interpreted it.

More reason for Rey to be a Skywalker as well

Is there anybody in here who actually remembers going to the movie theatres to see a new hope?
My very first time going to the movies was Empire Strikes Back in 1980. I was 6. Immediately afterwards my sister took me to Thrifty to buy all the action figures. They were .99 cents each.

Eh, that's not how prophecies work.

Anakin brought balance to the force like the prophecy said by killing the last Sith around due to wanting to be redeemed in his son's eyes.

The **** going on now I see as just regular human ****. There's no unbalance or disturbance in the force just typical human error.

Kylo Ren is an emo murderer like any other mass killing lame.

They'd be smart to not touch the prophecy stuff again. There is balance in the force now it's just about how those intoned with it use it. The way JJ and the rest stress that Snoke is not a Sith makes me think they're clearly going down the dark Jedi path so it'll just be light vs. dark with Jedi and no Sith for a while.

The prophecy/balance bull **** is bogus anyways. That was merely an attempt to add some sort of meaning or weight to a tremendously thin script. Nothing more.

"Star Wars: Episode VIII, originally scheduled for release on May 26, 2017, will now debut on December 15, 2017. The move follows the extraordinary success of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which was the first Star Wars movie to premiere in December. In the popular holiday moviegoing corridor, it smashed numerous records, including biggest domestic and global debuts of all time as well as the biggest domestic second and third weekends, en route to becoming the highest grossing domestic release of all time with over $861M and the third biggest global release ever with $1.887B."

Man, I was lookin forward to 2 Star Wars films in a 6 month window. :frown: |I

I guess the bright side to that is more time for them to lock down what they need to, make sure the films are top notch, nothing rushed, etc. Just hate having to wait. :frown:
