Grievous was interesting but I have no idea why he just popped outta no where in the 3rd movie.

These posters got me hyped tho

The prequels had so much potential..

I didn't find out until last year I believe but did you know that Grievous' cough was actually George Lucas' cough from a cold/flu that he had? Lol

Yes, everything written before is now considered non canon. Only books from 2014 and on are considered canon now.

EVERYTHING that previously released including books, novels, graphic novels, comics, are now considered "Legends" and do not belong to canon. All of these are open game for creators to pull from and make canon. So any characters in Legends can at some point become canon.

As of this moment, canon is:
The six Star Wars films, the Clone Wars animated series, the Clone Wars animated film (I believe, correct me if I'm wrong), the Rebels animated series, all books released starting with "A New Dawn", all comic books released starting with "Star Wars 1" from Marvel.

The good about the new canon material is it just recently started, we're only 4 books in, one season of Rebels in, and four different comics with the ltest issue being #4..so now is the time to start before it becomes truly overwhelming.

I agree, I hope they make a spinoff movie in the Old Republic. Can you imagine seeing Sith Army fighting Jedi? Mind would be blown.

Mine on the 8th! Haha nice. Happy belated man.

I started with the first one..A New Dawn. The story begins after Revenge of the Sith and before the beginning of Rebels.
In all honesty, the book does start out slow, it isn't action packed, but you really get to know the main characters from Rebels and you know their backstory leading into Rebels. Then there's Tarkin, Heir to the Jedi, and soon Lords of the Sith.

I do recommend in audiobook format, the music and sound effects alone are worth the listen!

I still hope at some point they use storylines from those legends in films, be it spin offs or tv shows, what have you. So much better stuff in those books than anything Lucas gave us prior. ****, the OG book trilogy got him to finally do the prequels.

Even thought it's not currently canon, it really makes watching the Prequels more interesting. I hope they make this book canon. Darth Plagueis already is.
