Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain | A Hideo Kojima Game

Still haven't cracked the seal on my copy. Have like 3 more side ops in Ground Zero to finish. Glad we have a long weekend

I just started today...I'm a little disappointed that this is a "destroy x, collect y, recover z" on separate missions type of game so far as opposed to a flowing storyline in the previous MGS games. I'm not a fan of side missions at all (hopefully I'll end up being wrong in a few hours)

That's why I passed on the game.

Kinda feeling the same way and the terrain is very boring. Also hoping I change my feelings about it soon.

Patience.

Weird you find it boring, its dope how it changes. You must not have evaded the enemy with a sandstorm yet lol.

I will say that I don't want to get the same feel like arkham city where ever thing is cool in the beginning of the game but towards the end everything is repetitive just with better weapons. Then I'm just spamming the same method I used at the beginning of the game.

I don't think It will happen because of some of the variations. We both may approach missions differently and use different buddies giving us both different experiences. AC was just you or the batmobile. Very linear. I like that this one isn't as linear. Some don't. The story isn't given too you as much as other MGS games, only at certain points. But mad story is in those tapes you acquire.

I like the sandstorms, especially when one clears and Ive wandered into the middle of 5 soldiers  ...but I mean the desert/mountains are boring, this is the same reason I hated MGS2, big shell was so boring and repetitive and why I loved MGS3, everything was so different. Red Dead Redemption did a great job of creating variation throughout the towns in a desert/mountain setting and I'm hoping as I explore it gets better but as of now I'm not as excited to keep playing. I do wanna see more of Mr. Kuwabara and little Mantis though, the beginning of the game was amazing.
