2013 NFL Draft thread - ( Early Entrees, Mocks, Combine etc )

Exactly what I was going to say. They'll probably go ILB, DE or OT in the 1st round, then go corner in the 2nd and either the 3rd or one of their 4th rounders. Then go after Jarius Byrd and Grimes in free agency to help that secondary out. We also need a new slot receiver to go with V-Jax and Mike Williams.
I think the Bucs are going to hope like hell they can get Te'o at 13 though. That dude is exactly the type of player that Schiano wants. He'd be such a perfect fit in the middle of Foster and David. Our defense needs his leadership.
ive always liked the bucs as my nfc team and im excited with what they could be ,

they can do alot with the 13th pick... they can get a future elite OT,DE or LB at that spot

depending on how many people reach for a quarterback and if miami takes a receiver

dont get me wrong if a team like the steelers,49ers,ravens,texans snag milliner in the 20's ....it would be

but as deep as cornerback is in this draft and as great i feel the bucs  can be in a year or 2 , it would be a reach

Thats why I said taking Minter wouldn't be bad, like buc em said they can sign a free agent like grimes, rodgers-cromartie or sean smith.

Raiders need to trade out of the 3 spot. More picks the better. If for some reason no one is looking to trade, go with Joeckel.

Texans need a ILB followed by another ILB followed by a 1 tech defensive lineman followed by another pass rusher. Offensive line would help also.

DRC isn't a "Schiano type" player so don't expect him to be signed by them. I guarantee the Bucs will be in contact with Grimes as soon as they can though.

Raiders are not looking at QBs. This team has more important needs than QB. Like every position on Defense

Sees Raiders.

Sees QB.

Sees Carson Palmer.

Sees biggest need on the Raiders.

Sees himself out.

I hope the Raiders front like they want Gino. Then I hope he falls to 3 and someone gives up a lot for that pick

I don't think Carson will ever lead us to a super bowl but we have more glaring needs on defense. Like a passrusher, NT or CB.
Hell we could use another Offensive lineman. We just need to draft for depth, qb can wait til next year.

About Pryor... idk if he'll ever be a starting qb but he's talented enough to be on the field.
He should be play when we get into the redzone or within 10 yards. Run some read options.

Raiders have come out and said QB is NOT a priority right now and anyone that has watched multiple Raiders games this year can attest to that. Hell, Carson won a few games for us on his own this year. I'm not saying he's the guy I want to run with for our future plans but I really don't see him out so soon, especially with how weak the QB class is this year. How many undrafted players were playing cornerback for the Raiders this year? Or how about the fact that QB's were having field days in the pocket when playing us because we couldn't touch them? Carson ain't great but he's good enough until the glaring holes in the team get filled. DE/OLB is the most realistic position for us at 3, unless we go with Teo since McClain decided he doesn't give a **** anymore or we go with Joeckel since Khalif Barnes is a vomit inducing Tackle to watch play.

Damn it, CP. I am tired of your crusade against Carson. We know, he sucks. But we need him to suck for one more season while we deal with more pressing issues

I don't mean to get on you guys, you're just wasting your time with Palmer under center is all. Might as well grab a rook this year, coach the hell outta him and let him learn the NFL game so you have something stable goin foward. Not watch another year of Palmer getting blown out 28-0 then sayin, ok, now I can go get my 300 and 3 late TD's and make myself look good. That's just wasting life. For everyone. Every Raider you do have and like would be pounding themselves into the dirt so he can pull that **** AGAIN for a full year. >D

Going 5-11 with Palmer

Seattle had way more depth on their team at other postitions though when they got Wilson. We don't have any Browners/Shermans/Bryants/Wagners on this team by any means. I understand where you're coming from CP but I just feel like there's so much wrong with this team and QB isn't a top 5 concern at this point. I honestly would like to give Pryor a shot eventually just because it would be cool to see Al's last pick pan out, but I think he has a lot to learn still..

We were actually pretty stacked across the field other than QB, just didn't get a whole lot of attention because of the media thing.

Totally agree with the Raiders fans on here.  They have so many holes, should take the best players available and strengthen the defense and the lines.  Don't need to be focused on skill positions right now and any QB they throw in now (in a weak draft) is going to be wasted anyway.  Carson's aight, perfect player to hold you through a rebuild.

No reason for the Raiders to pick a QB 3rd overall. DL/OL. Ideally trade the pick for more picks, need a second round and another mid round. I would wait for the 4th round to after a QB. I mean we don't even have an OC. I'm not in the camp where Carson should automatically be the starter, draft a QB mid/late round. Have a comp, Carson/Pryor/rookie. Bring in some undrafted guys. Just because we paying him an insane amount of money doesn't mean we should have to suffer through his play.

STILL with all of that, the need is greater on defense.

I just hope if the Raiders go with a pass rusher they go with Bjorn Werner and leave Moore for the Lions.

I do agree with CP about their QB situation. They need to bring in someone now so they can develop on the bench instead of rushing to bring in a rookie when Carson is gone and throwing him to the wolves.

I took these stats from another site. However, I'd love to get folks' opinion on this? On the heels of Ray Lewis' retirement, where do you all think London Fletcher stacks up? Is he HOF worthy?

Look at the #'s

That is pretty impressive considering he played two year less than Ray too.

very similar yes...

but ray was doing his while being the best player, on the best defense the majority of those years...

to answer your question...IMO, I repeat, in my opinion...

yes, london fletcher is a hall of famer....through all those coaches, all those d coordinators he was the one constant...NEVER missed a game...always consistent...very very underrated...always gets looked over...

is he ray lewis?? no...

is he hof worthy?? yes...

I guess the question comes down is it just Stats or is it much more. Because both Players have their unique careers and both are definitely HOF'ers

Good way of putting it, bro.

Obviously it's a hypothetical, but I wonder if Fletcher switched places w/ Ray, would the results have been the same?
