***MLB Feet and Equipment 2013***NEW THREAD

Damn I can't even sleep... I'm soo pumped for baseball season. Got almost everything on my list... except for yet, a Nike Swingman 3/4 Black Shirt. I know it's annoying but I'm still looking for someone to buy one and sell it on Ebay for me. I don't have a DSG around me but I know there's a few DSG where you live by your posts. So if anyone can sell on to me. A Large Black 3/4 Swingman shirt, that'd be great. Btw they don't have a black online and haven't for a few months now. Thanks everyone. Good luck in the season, specially to you catchers. Pitchers do us a favor and hit your spots and not 7 ft. in front of us. Thanks.

I saw a red and black one on eBay a few days ago sorry I don't have time to look for it right now but there was one on eBay either L or XL a few days ago if you want to try and hunt it down.

did you ever call the outlet store from San Marcos, tx? if so did they have any?

Nah I never called. Too much of a hassle, but my man nikesourceseller got my back. I did have my first day of practice today with my varsity squad. We looking pretty good. Everyones decked out in new gear. I do have to say, I'm not the biggest fan of the Nike Zoom cleats. I like the old Shox Gamer Pro and the huarache 2k Fresh better. Does anyone know any good cleats for wearing high socks. Not a big fan of hightops with high socks.

Does anyone know why Nike has abandoned the pro level MCS sole for their retail cleats?  It's a shame that they've gone this route.  The only way I can see to get this sole now is on the IDs.

^, thats a really good question; I haven't seen them on a cleat in awhile either. I am glad I have the Zoom Clipper MCS from like three years ago still.

The Jeter Black Cat has an MCS version on eastbay and the vapor's but yes they are a lower level price point (and quality i've seen a few of them they look like kids shoes just all plastic-like material) Really glad I kept my ID's from the last two seasons with MCS cleats on them I think I'm just going to use them again this yr b/c I'm also not a fan of anything they have to offer with an MCS cleat.

I have worn my Diamond Elite iD MCS quite a bit over the last 2 seasons and the cleats still have tons of life, a bit worn down but not too bad. I'll be getting another pair this year.

Just wondering because I'm more of a metal guy and I only use MCS when I have to, but what is the difference between the MCS versions?

I think that the "Pro Level" MCS shoes are not particularly good performers in terms of sales. But luckily the team bank stuff seems to trickle out to Ross and the eBay etc...... Plus, the biggest retail market for MCS is the slowpitch softball player and most of us wear turfs 80+% of the time. I know only wear my MCS once or twice a year.

That said, I could NEVER wear the ****** keystone level stuff even for 1 game. The full length air and phylon footbed is an absolute must for my fat ***.

I have a pair of White/Green 2K4's, some Black/Orange Max MVPs and some Black /White 5 Tools and love them. I hope they are always "around"

Eastbay has the Huarache 2KFresh MSC as well and while they DO both have the MSC outsole, neither have air and THAT is a major drawback.

Exactly.  The MCS with the Zoom Air are by far the most comfortable cleats ever, and I've worn pretty much everything.  I caught all the way up through college, and metal spikes killed my feet, especially after catching an 18-inning double header.  The pro level MCS was incredible.  Your feet feel great no matter what.  The soles on any of the newer MCS shoes are cheap, wear out quickly, and aren't nearly as comfortable.  Luckily I have a pair of the Cooperstown Zoom Air MCS that are in pretty good condition.

Those are the pro level MCS soles!  Those must have just come out.  I was on that site a couple days ago and they didn't offer them.  It's quite a relief.

A couple of things to post. First, I found out that Nike and this year's undershirt will probably be the same as last year's model. I spoke to a rep and he said most likely they will use the same model as last year and looking at today's paper had manager Terry Collins wearing the same model as he did last year down there in Florida. Now the same rep said expect a new Hypercool shirt but wouldn't get into details. I think Nike ran out of ideas and they are sticking with the same old model. As for the the new Hypercool shirt he mentioned? It probably is a generic shirt etc.
Second, I returned the NPC 5 Tools undershirt because it looked too much like the Raglan shirt that is out now. So I called Nike again and choose a different colorway. I got it today and believe me, a change of color changed the whole outlook of the shirt. I still wished it was more snug than its predecessor. Enclosed is a picture of the new colorway.

^, first pro players top was the best thing I have ever worn for a baseball top. "I think Nike ran out of ideas and they are sticking with the same old model." I totally agree, there is really only so much you can do to innovate a performance top, maybe change the shape of the vents on the spine, change the mesh, but design-wise not a ton you can do.

Wait until you guys see Tulo's new cleats. 3M is the road pair and the home pair has a bunch of paint splatter.  Both pairs of his new cleats can be worn with home or away uniforms.
can't wait to see pics..tulo is one of the best in the league when it comes to fresh gear
