Missed out on a bottle of Aventus R01 batch the other day |I.. One of my favs from 2013.

I have a bottle of 12E01 which is pretty balanced with Pinapple+Smoke, A decant of 11X02 which is straight pineapple. The 13R01 would have been perfect for my rotation

Yea you would have had the trifecta because that R01 opens up with straight smoke . Test wore my 13R01 and my 14G01 yesterday on either wrist to compare and they are pretty much identical after 45 mins-1 hr but the R01 dries down to reveal the vanilla a little sooner than the G01. Pretty much no other differences to me outside of that and the opening.

I swear I felt like an absolute ****** dissecting Aventus batches years ago and now to read the batch # thread on basenotes and see that, for the most part batch variation findings are universal.

I've said this before, I l've never gotten a compliment on Aventus in the first couple hours. All my compliments have come in the 7+ hr mark and the reason why is the drydown. The thing is, my 11z01 batch has matriculated for so long that it reaches drydown; malted, pineapple, birch and vanilla-oakmoss, pumped out by synthetics within 30 mins. Newer batches it literally takes 2-3 hours for them to get past that initial pine, peppery, cologne-y smelling opening. Luckily, 14k01 performs like 11z01 with less fruit.

I'm pretty good at creatively describing what my nose smells with these scents and I wouldn't even know where to begin with Adventus.

I'm mad confused:

1. What was the eBay Aventus juug?

2. Basenotes has the various batch info?

3. WHO THE **** HAS SOME HEROD

How often do aventus 95% full deals come up? They have the 2.4 oz for 145. Should i pull the trigger or wait out til they put up a 4 oz?

They had 4 oz bottles 95% full (like 85% in my case but everybody else's was practically full) for $165 not long ago on eBay

There's is a whole thread dedicated to aventus batch numbers on basenotes

Not sure who has Herod

Nice to be back fellas. You guys are lucky on that partial aventus sale! Have 2 4oz and 1 2.5oz of aventus. 13t01 and 13z01 batches. Love that stuff. And if forced to keep 3 bottles, id say goodbye to 70 or so bottles. Id be sad to lose malt and havane. But its aventus... theeee kkiiinnng! To each his own though.
