Forgot to add Terre d'Hermes to that Honorable Mention.. I could see myself wearing that all the time and not getting tired of it.
After my side by side comparison last night, I think I have to go with DHI over Herod. I find Herod to be more complex and it's got so many great things going for it.. the cinnamon, vanilla, tobacco, but DHI is just on another level to my nose. I also will always have a spot for Polo Double Black and D&G The One since they were one of my first "good" colognes back in the day. I still love Double Black, it just doesn't project or last on me like higher quality stuff.

You missed out on the fragrancenet eBay bottles. They were selling 95% full 4 oz bottles for like $165. I've still got half a 4 oz bottle left and I still grabbed one off general principle lol

Just got my aventus in from the eBay fragrancenet deal. It's not 95% (more like 85%) full but at $165 it's still a steal.

Got batch 14G01 and this is my first time smelling a batch other than my first bottle (batch 13R01). First impression is the G01 is not as smokey initially as my R01 batch and it's more on the citrusy side. R01 to me was smokey as hell on the first spray
. But it's still pretty much the same to me. I guess these are tester bottles too because they don't have the same monster sprayer as the regular bottles

Dang. I wonder how wide the variance is. Mine looked more than 95% and sprays huge.
Like you said, it's a steal either way and I'd def be buying again if the deal popped another time.
Does make me apprehensive about buying a 95% full GIT though given how difficult it would be to gauge how full it actually is.

I copped a 2.5 oz after they refunded my 4.0 oz. I got 14C01 if I'm not mistaken about 98% full.

GIT is quite easy to check, just shine a LED light through the back of it et voilà. Works for just about any opaque bottle.
