Millionaire Boy Racers (DOCUMENTARY)

Lmao at jealous dude saying its an ugly car.

Thanks ill watch this later

they are making London better. Brits in general are weird, stuffy people.
Where is this stereotypical view from? If anything, they're known as easy going (almost lazy) since they take long lunch and have tea time while Americans are the stuck up ones who think money can buy anything.

Thanks for posting that, OP. Very interesting video.

In what ways?

Based on what was shown, aside from the cultural diversity, I don't see how they are making London better.

One can argue that their "tourist" money buoys the London economy, and I think that's a very legitimate point, but money isn't the end all be all; and as cliche as this may sound, money can't buy you happiness.

They can buy all the fancy cars they want, but it's obvious that most of those kids/young adults aren't entirely happy with their lives. The very end of the video is testament to this fact. Rashid said:

I feel very sad that I have to leave this nice place [speaking of London]...this good weather...and going back to my desert...have you ever seen these views in Kuwait [referring the picturesque view of a London park]? Take our money and give us these views...give us all of these views and this weather and we will give you our country, no problem...give us London and we will give you Kuwait [and its vast oil riches]...

In the end, there's enough blame to go around both sides. Those longtime neighborhood residents definitely harbor some racial prejudices and the young arabians are insensitive to the prevailing milieu that makes London such an attractive summer destination to begin with.

i kid i kid...

...but, as the point was already raised, the Anglos views seemed more xenophobic in nature instead of an annoyance about the cars.

There would be no way I'd know you were kidding since no emoticons or things of that nature were used. From my encounter with the Brits, they're pretty nice.

Yes, I understand they're young and they're trying to have fun. But as foreigners coming into someone else's land, you need to show respect. This sort of thing is not limited to London as well.

Like slickp stated; from the first few mins, it just looks like rich kids having senseless fun....no different than what some of the kids do here, except they can get arrested.

Didn't know that the people of London despised having many supercars around during the summertime. I guess London is becoming more and more integrated as each summer passes with the influences of the young Arab's.

These dudes grew up and live in a fantasy world. They're part of the extended "royal" families or families with major businesses connected to the "royal" families.

They do whatever they want back home so they come to London and act the same way, They've never had any constraints in their life.

Think about it.

You have these young schmucks who were handed money coming over to your land and figuratively ******** on you. Not in the sense of "stuntin" but in the sense of not respecting you at all.

Would you be happy?

This isn't the NE in the US where the history has been one of constant immigration. England has a homogeneous population   and a long history. At the end of the day, they're guests.

Do you think this is the first ever piece on this subject? This has been a topic in London for the better part of a decade now.

There is a lot of immigration into London and the surrounding areas (and by far everyone is not wealthy) but these dudes driving supercars come from well connected families in the gulf.

This. Said in the Doc they come to London to escape all the rules and religious practices they must follow. In their homeland, their are many constraints.

about halfway through it and I can understand why the neighbors would be upset with the unsafe driving and disregard for others being shown

not everyone is interested or impressed by a loud engine and how fast it goes

but I can't tell how much of their disdain is really just due to them being Arabs

I can see why the Brits would be upset, but it is helping their people and businesses. All that wealth.

Many constraints in what sense?

That there aren't as many Clubs and bars in the gulf? Or that it's not "the West". Or that girls don't walk the streets in tight jeans and mini skirts?

There are cultural constraints because the dominant strain in the gulf is one of conservatism but these dudes go to London not because they feel boxed in or repressed. They go to have fun in a western city. They go for the vagina and the excitement. It's like the ultimate frat house party. It's something different.

Do you go on vacation because you feel repressed in your country?

If having maids and servants and supercars in your early 20's while not working is a "constraint" then sign me up.

They don't have clubs in the Gulf. Reason why they go to London.

I thought it was funny when the cameraman asked that group if they'd ever spoken to any of the drivers.
