Finally got everything set up (including app). Had some network connection issues. Played the beginning of KZ... Don't care what anyone says, this game isn't happening on ps3. Time to pass out... GL to everyone getting their 4s and be safe!

picked up my ps4 last night.... had to drive 40 miles to get it but at least I saved sales tax. bestbuy had cancelled my pre-order due to funds not being available in AUGUST (recovering from buying a house) but they called me to say I had a console anyways.... got there, my name was on the sheet but no console was under my name. They just sold me one of the excess inventory pile and I was out. 10000% lucky and grateful they were accommodating for the error.

updated just fine but couldn't log into PSN. it was already 1am and I had to wake up for work at 520. only have killzone 4 with me at the moment. waiting to get off work so I can get this party started

now I have a walmart pre-order coming in sometime before xmas. will see if I can off it for a few bucks when that time comes.

and dude that scammed Amazon... I can see your point but I personally would have just sent them the books. im dealing with an issue where they paid me for a console trade-in using the pay me now option. I canceled the trade due to shipping late and I had to get a new cc by the time the would have charged due to it being compromised. been dealing with them to get them to pull back the $94.00 balance. its a karma thing for me.

Man, too many games!

- Resogun is fun as all heck. Confusing and dont know what I am doing. But fun.

- BF4 is a different game on PS4. Runs sooooo much smoother, graphics are 10 fold better, and lag was non-existent. Only issue was getting in parties which you couldnt do for some reason. 64 player conquest is a damn MASSACRE!

- Killzone IS THAT game for me. So much fun, played it the most tonight. No leveling, all based on challenges, which I love. SP voice acting is cheeeeese but the missions I have done have been fun. The graphics, especially on my new tv, are a have to see to believe thing.

- Downloaded Warframe, Contrast as well, havent gotten to them. Along with NFS, CoD, and 2K14. Man, too many games.

- System itself is very cool. I like the UI. Might not be for everyone, but I am a fan. Had a few hiccups, but nothing that ws of any real worry/note. Runs pretty loud though in comparision to the PS3 slim, but nothing like the early 360 or PS3.

- Headset (earbud) is junk, hopefully they allow me to use my PS3 official one soon here.

- Controller is slick and already head and shoulders above the DS3 (which I loved). Hard to admit, but I dont know if I could go back.

All in all, had a blast tonight. Havent had this feeling since I was 12 playing my brand new N64 with my late brother on Christmas night.... Turok, Mario 64. Its 6am here and I am only going to sleep because I know I need to function for some work tomorrow. Very happy with the purchase. Anyway, see you all in game. I'll be running BF4 tomorrow almost exclusively. Hopefully they sort the invite thing out. Anyway, Im out. Its been a long summer/fall, but I think alot of you will be as happy as I am. With X1 dropping next week, I dont know a better time to love the hobby we do.

Initial impressions huh?? Well let's see

0. Sony designed a beautiful system and UI(reminds me of the iPhone 4 casing)
1. While setting up the UI and stuff the 1.50 firmware update was already downloading I guess.. Looked at it as it was at 76%..
2. Hooked the camera up for the playroom and streaming.. Playroom is too fun.. Air Hockey!!!!
3. Couldn't get on to PSN so I played Battlefield.. It is beautiful.. Hate the mechanics atm.. Went 7-11 my first game when I finally got in..
4. While fifa installed I had to play the demo basically.. Arsenal will goon..
5. Played some 2k and damn it was fun.. Graphics are dope.. While installing you play a rematch of the finals..
6. No HDMI issues.. The headset is cool but once I hooked my beats up to the controller I said Astros bye bye.. Didn't check the mic out yet though
7. The app is a must.. I mean I installed a game and turned off the console from bed.. About to turn it on to download Contrast..

Score ... 5 stars.. 95%.. 5% off for PSN being down for a little bit.. I hope everyone enjoys their ps4.. Will add people or you can add me.. Killzone time!!!!!

Only select gamestops do midnight releases, but I figured the vast majority would for consoles.
