Driveclub PlayStation Plus Edition Details Announced

The specifics regarding the PlayStation Plus version of the PlayStation 4 racer Driveclub have been announced.

Evolution Studios' Community Development Manager Jamie Brayshaw announced on the PlayStation Blog that PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to download a scaled-down, free version of the upcoming title, which will include one location (India), 11 tracks, 10 cars and access to every game mode.

Brayshaw said that Driveclub is "inherently next gen" and that the scaled-down version is designed to help build a community of online gamers.

"Driveclub PlayStation Plus Edition is designed to be a quick and easy way for gamers all over the world to join the Driveclub community," Brayshaw said. "You can take part in all the game modes, set, send and compete in challenges, and race online against others in the Driveclub community."

PS+ subscribers will be able to spend $50 USD for a downloadable upgrade to the full version with all five locations, 55 tracks, 50 cars and all 50 tour events. The disc version of Driveclub is expected to retail for $60. Access to the PlayStation Plus version of Driveclub will be revoked when your subscription lapses, though you will own the content as long as you're a member.

Driveclub was initially meant to be a launch title for the PlayStation 4, but only recently was an October 7 North America release date announced. Brayshaw promised that the PS+ details release is the first of three Driveclub updates coming this week

I don't know much about sim racers, is 50 cars not a lot

So I guess we can expect Jetpac to be underwhelmed and disappointed by the real press conference, shocking as that may be to believe.

Can't believe I gotta respond to this. We know about the order. It'll be exciting to see UC4 but Drive Club Wipe out and a CGI God of War reveal would make this the "Best" Sony e3 lineup of all time???

OK, well if that's all you take away from the list then I can see why you're disappointed. But if you take another gander, you'll see much more there.

You missed the Morpehus game by Media Molecule.

Free god of war games

NA only since NA has the trials for the games. Need to be plus mem

Procedure:

Step 1: add both GOW 1 & 2 ps plus trials and finish purchase
Step 2: add GOW PS vita collection for free

apparently unlocks the PS3 versions as well

PS hurry up before sony plugs this one too.

Download the trials for the gow collection on ps3 someone posted a link a few pages back and then after you complete the request hit download on the ps vita version and it should be free

I'm on my PS3 now under timed trials but I only see Chains of Olympus and Ghosts of Sparta. Is it over? HELP!

Negative. I love more info on games announced just as much as you. But c'mon, Outside of UC4 and MAYBE the Order, there's nothing there that excites you that we know about. GTA V PS4.. Cool but not mind boggling. God of War 4 CGI, cool we all know its coming. Drive Club? Hell no. Wipeout? Nope.

Anybody trying to cop that Last of Us Grounded Mode for $4.99?

I haven't even played through it on the hardest original difficulty, so I don't know why I'd want to put myself through this..

I'm curious as to what types of games you want then.You have slight interest in the games with guns. Everything else is meh to you.

What if Wipeout was a Morpheus game? That would be ******* great. It would be vomit inducing, but it would be great.

And don't downlplay Project Beast. That's going to be big just based off the pedigree of the developer.

On top of it all, every third party mutiplatform game that gets announced Sony gets the benefit of having the superior console version.

This would be a 10/10 E3 for Sony if true.

The Getaway was cool. The controls were pretty janky, but overall I enjoyed it. It took me so long to realize you healed up by leaning against walls. I was like "Holy **** this game is hard."

The second one I didn't play too much of. I could forgive the jankiness of the first one, but from what i recall they didn't improve much in the sequel, so I just gave it up.

The tech demoes for The Getaway PS3 were sweet



I would've definitely played it. (No way it would've looked that clean though.)

^ Yeah. I remember that tech demo. I think they used some of the assets for the London track in GT5. And some others for PS Home.

Anyone know where I can get this blue shell replacement for a slim PS2? I've been looking and I found a place that still sells them, but they're sold out of blue. The only options left are red, orange, and purple.
