The Old PlayStation Thread | *NEW THREAD IS UP*

Ref dead my favorite game ps3 era. Everything great, never platinum-ed though. Need one trophy and the mp trophies. Never get bored going back though, everything is so great.

Ya'll are bashing a lot of the great games from last gen in here. Red dead redemption was great and epic story twist at the end and so is the uncharted series. Few games you could say are "decent" would be games I played recently like ni no kuni and shadows of the damned. Soon ppl are gonna start saying batman arkham series is no good :smh:

pretty much same here except my memory got erased due to heavy rain so got to start from scratch if I were to get plat, which I doubt I'll do, too many other games out to play.

I've been trying to get into arkham asylum. I like the combat but everything else is stiff.
Controlling batman feels like I'm controlling a tank.

So stiff.

I haven't felt that way with batman but even so the story and other portions of gameplay are so great it's a shame to focus on that.

Metal Gear Rising is a great game so far ; straight up adrenaline rush every time you enter a battle. The parrying is on another level and the Zandatsu mode is very innovative; The only compliant I have is that the camera has a mind of it's own and always wants to go where it wants to instead of where you need it to be.

I like the cutting system. I was surprised at how deep they went with that, but the game gets sluggish once you cut something for too long.

Towerfall is free now :frown: I paid 15 back in April.

Prolly the most game I played on this weak system. I love sony and play station is awesome but the lack of anything worthwhile on ps4 is killing me.

Games overall are loosing quality. It's not the systems fault. The PS4 isn't weak, the people making games are just STUPID straight up.

I think consumers like you and I was what's causing games to lose quality.

People speak with their dollars.

If a dev can way more profit off of a seemingly unfinished game with plenty of pre-planned dlc than a seemingly finished game with the same amount of content as the former, that dev is smart.

ala BF, COD, Capcom, etc

Just finished Red Dead and I can say it was worth every penny I spent on it ($6 used)

Now I know where the De Santa name in GTA V came from :wow:

Yeah the only way to fix the quality of games is for consumers to speak with their wallets

True story.

Dude saying uncharted is generic? Naaaahhhh. Won't hear it. Name another game like it to compare it to. Cuz generic means you should be able to find plenty of examples. Uncharted is GREAT. I had Xbox last generation and beat the first and half the second at my friends house. Definitely wished it was on both consoles.

I know it's your opinion... And your opinion is wrong.

Uncharted 1 was horrible to me, but 2 and 3 were some of the most fun games I've ever played

It was the weakest out of the series imo but still good. But when I played 2 and 3 I felt like it was much easier because dudes weren't taking tons of damage compared to 1 lol

Yea, it took FOREVER to kill people in UC1, and the jumping mechanics were straight out of a PS1 game. There was some temple or something that I died like 50x in cause of the camera angle during my jumps

The enemies in U1 are bullet sponges, it's probably the hardest one, the AI is super aggressive on top of that. I swear I would headshot guys and they would still be running at me. They definitely fixed all that in U2, but the first one is actually my favourite out of the 3.

Uncharted 1 mindless shooting no doubt. Like, nothing innovative or original at all. But the story and presentation is what got me through. I absolutely was pulled into it. 2&3 were phenomenal

i cant see how someone could say that...(not just specifically you cause ive heard sorta similar by others) yet line up for cod... and especially titanfall (like does it even have a regular game/mission mode).... and id wager vast majority of ppl who have played any cod have actually beat the game, same goes for halo as well. Now those are just random mindless shooting games.

I would say Uncharted and the OG Tomb Raider are very little alike, but the new Tomb Raider reboot is a lot like Uncharted with less colour.
