Amazing episode top to bottom...

from Cersei's desperation, to Sansa realizing her brothers are still alive, then Arya learning... all of that was really good stuff.

I would have been thrilled if it was an entire episode of Tyrion sizing up Dany and analyzing her entire situation perfectly. But then she recognizes his wisdom and wants him by her side? Perfect and I can't wait to see what comes from this. That alone was great... but then we get Jon trying to convince the wildings to join him. They debate, he gives his speech.. again.. that was awesome and enough... but then the looming threat that we've been waiting on, we finally see first hand.

The wights were terrifying enough, then we get the White Walker, and THEN the reveal that Valyrian steel also can kill a White Walker and now Jon has taken one down. That scene was the definition of an epic moment for this series and immediately one of my favorite moments in the show. And just when you think you've had enough, we see the leader sizing up Jon Snow as they retreat. Unreal episode.

The overall season has still struggle here and there, but I'm hoping they finish really strong and considering the penultimate episode is typically jaw dropping, I can't wait for it.

yea they are. this wasn't explained last season but the WW are after bran also.

Wasn't sure either if they were connected but after ep. 8 it's clear as day.

What an episode :pimp: . Tyrian spitting facts to Khaleesi and of course the epic battle.

Is the Night's King related to Jon Snow or did my friend give me a wrong spoiler?

As far as the show goes, NO ONE KNOWS IF THE NIGHT'S KING IS RELATED TO ANYONE.

How come people even calling the white walker night king? Was it in the credits or something?

It was originally listed in HBO's Viewers Guide for the episode "Oathkeeper".

In the "Inside the Episode" for this episode they called him the Night's King as well.

Just watched Hardhome again. ******* brilliant from top to bottom. Even the choice to have no music playing over the end titles, just some eerie sounds.

One thing I didn't notice the first time is that the WW actually looked shook when Longclaw stood up to his ice blade. That's how Jon was able to take him out.

Can anyone tell me how John Snow knows white walkers are coming? His right hand man told him and he just took his word? Or what?

remember sam saw the army of the dead coming near the end of season 2 I think.

Thanks my canadian brotha, just shows how high John holds his men

Cause he until Hardhome he took great ventures to prepare aganst white walkers despite never seeing one himself

Wasn't Ned already concerned about the Walkers in Season 1? He's the one who started talking about Winter coming and I got the impression he wasn't just talking about weather.

cool cool, I wasnt aware of that. are we to believe that this white walker night king was once the living night king?

Night's king is the night's king, im pretty sure there aren't different characters

I thought he was actually just talking about the weather

The days of Ned Stark are long gone, i miss the big homie, i was hoping they would have a flashback and show him once

I really miss the heroes of this shoe

Khaleesi's brother dying was the initial surprise, and reveal of what this show is capable of. Whoever that actor is was pretty big on screen so I was surprised to suddenly see he wasn't going to be a long-running character. Then Ned's death was that x 25.

Hearing Tyrion rattle off "House of Targaryan has no presence in Westeros. The Starks are gone, etc." you get a flash of the entire show in a sentence and you realize how far the plot's come.

Thats the living Night King from back in the day tho right. This is the first time a white walker has been called night king right? So we dont actually know if they are actually the same right?
