Beware tons of spoiler questions ahead. For those of you who read book 3...
I just finished the book yesterday and was wondering where you think the cut off will be? I'm assuming they show the red wedding and what happens to Joffrey. Also I think they'll show the Ygritte stuff since it wouldn't make sense to have her in one or two eps into season 4. Also the battles at castle black and the wall should happen right? Maybe they combine them somehow. I wonder if they have "one of the Kings" come through at the end. The Tyrion stuff post Joffrey I'm thinking is next season. Maybe they introduce the Red Viper at Joff's wedding and set up Tyrion's thing next season. So much still to go. Book 3 was crazy.

I just wanted to comment on this post and say that there are a years worth of spoilers here in chills post and my response. If you do not want the show ruined do not click this post.

Can't ask him to go to the book thread because he's only read book 3  With that being said...

The red wedding will happen for sure this season it should happen at the end of the next episode. In regards to everything involving people from Dorne that's next season for sure. The RV has already been confirmed. The big battle at the wall will be next season as well. Stannis should show up like in the books as its a very important plot point for the future. I don't think Joffrey will die this season but some people do. I really think we'll see the person in book 3's epilogue and cold hands this season.

Yea I've avoided the book thread just in case. Starting book 4 this weekend using that momentum from how book 3 ended to get me going.

dude is in limbo.

he's read far enough to where he can't discuss the show in this thread, and too early to discuss the end of book 5

Not that the conversation isn't great in here, because it is, but if you can get used to their format, reddit has a pretty smart system for discussing the books and show.

http://www.reddit.com/r/gameofthrones/

They specify if it's a spoiler for the TV show, a spoiler for all the books, or a spoiler up to a certain book, and anything in between.
http://www.reddit.com/r/gameofthrones/wiki/spoiler_guide

It's kind of confusing at first, but it's pretty helpful once you get the hang of it.

Problem here was that someone will say it's a spoiler from the book or a spoiler of any kind and someone will go ahead and read it anyway

^yup that's how I got caught up at first but I was in dude's situation about a month ago when I finished book 3 but still posted in the book thread without reading the replys

Up to book 5 now, almost done

The Starks that died in the book, will die this season. Well I think they will, it seems that way from the trailers. But I'm glad you cleared up the rest. I was wondering about that for a while. I'm really looking forward to see how everything is done. I started the 4th book, but haven't gotten the time to really go anywhere with it.

Ah even better for you then
Speaking of tower of the hand they had an interesting theory. Although I'm almost certain it's not spoilers I'll hide it just in case
The theory is that Jon Snow is really the son of Rhaegar and Lyanna Stark. Ned basically promised her that he'd raise Jon and lie to hide him from King Robert who wasn't exactly fond of the Targaryens. So that would make Dany his aunt. Song of Ice and Fire = Jon ?

Would that make him the rightful King of Westeros?

I've read that there's only one guy who can prove that fact as well.

I'm going to resist commenting on any spoilers the last few pages. So tempting :smh:.

If someone wants any confirmation on something, google is your amigo.

you guys can go to the book thread with that stuff. plenty of theories in there. and no need to spoil other people

The lineage should have gone Aerys - Rhaegar - Aegon. But since Rhaegar and Aegon were both killed it would go to the next son who I think was Jon if he ended up being Rhaegar's son. But King Robert kinda nixed all that lol.

While I don't think that's necessarily a spoiler for obvious reasons, you dudes finna ruin someone's Sunday evening, huh?

As long as it's in a spoiler it's fine. They're specifically talking about reading the books to a specific point and not trying to get spoiled in the book thread with ppl who've read ahead of them or all the books currently out. There's gotta be a compromise. Don't tell me there's a book thread for only read the book corresponding to the current season too
