i actually thought one of the better scenes of the episode was the varys tyrion goodbye exchange.

they almost forshadowed the fact that they were never gonna see one another again. i expect a varys death

theyre on screen time together was one of the most underrated of the series imo

when the mountain flexed on lance a lot and his crew .......tv boner fammmm :smokin

i still dont get jaqen though......is he proud or disappointed at arya for saying she has a name? killing the waif ? i dont gettt ittt

Lurked on a few forums and the majority feel that Qyburn's rumor is about wildfire being stashed.

They made Jamie's progression over the past 6 seasons pointless with one scene.
That was the reveal. There never was any progression. He always was a scumbag.

It doesn't matter if its right or wrong he'll do it if it's a means to a particular end. Sure he might feel bad about it later, tell it in a sad way to get sympathy but he'll just push it in the past/back of his mind and continue to be the same piece of **** he's always been.

It was all there in his talk. Cat should've killed me but she didnt, I'm here now and your my prisoner and I can say w/e I like and you're going to take it.

That's who Jamie Lannister is.
So why did the Tully soldiers even bother retaking River run just to give it up?
Cuz Blackfish convinced them too. The only Tully with balls.

One other thing I liked about this ep was the comparison and contrast of the Lannister siblings; Cersi let's religious fanatics in to her city and in to power and she ends up imprisoned, walking the streets naked, and about to be on trial again to take another L. Tyrion let's religious fanatics in to the city and everything goes pretty well (granted it took a while for things to go so bad for Cersi). I think 2 different times they had scenes back to back dealing with their situations regarding what they've done to make things better.

What backfired on Tyrion is negotiating with the slave masters and he ends up getting bailed out by Dany who comes just in time.

On a side note, I look forward to Grayworm clashing with whoever leads the dothraki warriors.

It's a shame his little spiders ain't tell him about Euron or Yara fleeing the iron islands.

Guess info takes a while to get to Mereen.

Edmure shoulda called Jaimes bluff.
He probably does it.

Whos to say Jaime wouldnt have kill the baby anyway, if he even exist.

I really dont get it. Edmure aint no lord of river run so why do the tully soldiers feel compelled to obey him?
Edmure was stripped of all titles and land, what exact power does he have?
Why even bother retaking river run?
None of this makes any sense, its such bad writing

I think they did well with Jamie. He is a good person, but his love for Cersei got him all ****** up.

And he knows it.

????

edmure was stripped of titles by the crown at a time when tully soldiers were (still are) at rebellion against the crown............in their eyes edmure is still the righful lord of riverrun

Definitely the worst episode of the season but it is what it is.

Arya arc has been a waste of time. All she learned was how to fight with her eyes closed and wash dead bodies.

Hope she at least smuggles some faces out that place.

Didn't realize how much I missed The Hound until this episode.

Tommen is a punk for letting his moms get treated like this. He a worse son than Joffery.

Being a worse anything than Joffery is an accomplishment one should not be proud of.

this.

I personally never looked at Jaime as a scum b. maybe I'm not seeing it but he's a good guy just caught up in his Lannister name and overbearing father, doin **** he doesn't want to but has to.

maybe he was worse before he lost his hand but that seemed so long ago.

and for whatever reason I don't see him killing the mad king all that bad of a move. the dude was called the mad King he had to be taken out. he just gets a bad wrap for it because of all the rules of the Kingdom and whatnot. I'd bet a lot of money people are glad he killed that guy but they're just not allowed to say that.

they even showed he's truly a good dude by having exchanges with Briennne

on the contrary I don't like good dude Jaime. I'd rather see the all star bad *** he once was or is supposed to be. that's why I look at him as kind of a disappointing character. I mean dude was supposed to be 2001 Barry Bonds with the sword and they done took his hand away

My question still stands

Why even bother recapturing riverun?
If its a yolo type middle finger to the lannisters and freys then i get it, but this wasnt the case
Why capture a castle to get cornered in? and then obey your rightful lord who you dont know if he will betray your men or what not.
It was easily the dumbest move in the whole series and luckily for the tully soldiers jaime is stupid/nice enough to not slaughter everyone

This is what happens when Lord Ramsey isn't shown for 4 episodes :smh: , all will come to fruition next week [emoji]128520[/emoji][emoji]128520[/emoji]

No matter what, Edmure is the heir to Riverrun. That's also part of the reason why the Frey's let him have a kid with Roslin, so they could have a legitimate claim if and when Edmure dies. The Tully forces had no choice but to obey Edmure especially after they refused to listen to Blackfish, who also has some claim to Riverrun. Tully army probably figured that Edmure was dead until the Freys brought him out in the previous episode.

So why didnt the soldiers just kill/jail the blackfish and yield the castle when they held a knife to edmures throat?
All of a sudden the risk of getting slaughtered is gone?
In the context of reality and human behavior does any of this make sense?
