No problem.  Glad you found it helpful.  Superbads are some of my favorite gloves.

Anyone using ankle braces when playing? I'm thinking I need one, I rolled my ankle earlier this year playing... Since I started playing again I've been feeling pain and even when I'm just casually walking... On amazon the Aso is the best one they sell, will I be able to play with it on? Any advice? Thanks

I prefer tape vs. braces for my ankles, it seems lighter and takes up less space in my cleats width wise. You have to make sure that the person tapping you up knows what they are doing tho.

I agree with carbon16. Taping should be better than a brace. And if it hurts that bad you should probably rest it for a while before injuring it even more.

Yea I thought about the taping idea for that exact reason but I don't know anyone who can tape... :lol

I also agree.  Tape is way better than a brace because it provides a custom fit to your body (like a cast).  The down sides of tape is that it becomes really expensive if used over and over again and also is very time consuming.  You also have to make sure that the person taping you knows what they are doing since it's very difficult to do it yourself.  Braces are a good alternative though due to everything I just mentioned.

If your just playing recreationally then just get a nice pair of braces.  Braces are good for dealing with an already existing injury and a regular tape job is good for preventive measures.  Yea there are tape jobs for existing injuries but I don't think you have the access to someone who knows the taping techniques.

Thanks for the input... Yes tape will be too much to maintain... I play in back to back flag leagues... So it will cost too much... I'm going to try a brace and see how it works

Personally I'm a fan of McDavid braces. Check out their website and they list their braces by protection level so it makes it easier to decide which brace is best for you.

Yup, if you're going to do braces get a pair of McDavids. I personally like the ones that have the laces on them that you tie up.

this is a common problem for any glove.  Check out my vid on How to Wash Football gloves on YouTube.  It's in the How To playlist on my channel which the link is in my sig.  The video actually explains how to prevent them from smelling in the first place.

That's football gloves for you. I've not found a reliable way to wash the stink out. Best of luck. I guess that's one of the reasons why college/pro players rotate gloves so often.

If I just wash them regularly (inside out with regular detergent) they won't smell as bad but will reek after just one or two wears. What I've done to prevent them from reeking so soon is to turn them inside out, soak them with Resolve and have them sit for a while (15-30 mins) before washing. Then air dry as usual. I'll go multiple games, maybe 10-15 wears, before they start smelling again. I haven't done this, and I should, but mrinkredibul's review says to sit them out in the open after games to delay them from smelling.

By the way mrinkredibul, I watch every single one of your videos whether they're applicable to me or not (I only play flag). They're all very informative so keep up the great work.

Anybody know if the CJ cleats were produced in a size 13 (for GR)? I've been looking on many websites (ndc, eastbay, dsg) and 12 seems to be the max.
