Two things I don't get. One post that has the possibility of implying the "N word" and he's automatically racist. Even though you walk around every day either saying or listening while your friends say it. But they aren't racists?
And two, why do people keep saying they aren't going to take part in a race thread, but then post in a race thread?

Never said that and the "next best thing you did" was simply say this has happened to white ppl and other races. I never said anything about other races and I was specifically talking about white ppl. I can't remember what I was watching or listening to but I guy was basically saying white ppl have been so jaded and deluded by the issue of race and racism that they continue to deny it's existence and ignore it when it occurs to the point the only racism they do acknowledge is "reverse racism" w/e that is.
It's funny cuz I still remember the clowns on this site talking about white privilege doesn't exist and black ppl shouldn't have affirmative action.

What exactly did you point out in response to what I said? All you said was this happens to white ppl and ppl of other races. Half of the statement is irrelevant or are you really trying to say I was implying that has only happened to black ppl? Like you don't know what I'm talking about. How specific does one need to be for you to not assume?

White WHITE people are really racist there. I hate them. I hate those people.
BUT I don't hate ALL white people.
I hate some asians and some indians .. but just because of how they are.
I don't know their names so I describe them as "trait race gender" "tall white guy
Does that make me racist? Did that make sense? I hope so.

Don't fight racism with racism. The way you say your term to describe them comes off as discriminatory, but at the same time doesn't. Not sure, depends on what you perceive as racisim.

The only people capable of sustaining the fantasy of a "post-racial" society tend to live in privileged bubbles.
In the rare event that they "can't" do something or find themselves in the minority, they may externalize the blame. (It's "racist" that they can't use racial slurs freely, adopting the Fox News "White America is under siege" bunker mentality, etc. etc. etc.)
It's the difference between EXPECTING society to be racist on the whole and finding oneself shocked when race is "suddenly" salient.

yes, you are assuming too much. I'm not sure where it seems like I said white people have become THE target for racism.
I referenced other races facing atrocities. I referenced other races (I used white and other races as an example) of people who are targeted for skin color.
Then I asked why location matters in this conversation.

Yes, you never expressly said that. what you said was "call me when it happens to white people *goes back to edit* because they're white" which obviously implies you either don't believe that it happens, didn't know it happened, or didn't think it was documented.

i dont remember a period in our history where white folks were hunted down, not allowed to do certain things and were hated by the whole southern United States.
the worst these people have experienced was probably name calling, this seems like another article that wants to freak white folks out, and its only making them hate minorities more.
since obama was elected there have been increases in gun sales and spikes in people joining hate groups and all white militias, but thats ok.

the thing is, I'm not coming to this conclusion based on just this article, this mentality is something I've been noticing for a while. It's like the white guy on YouTube always making videos about the plight of white South Africans since the end of apartheid, ignoring the fact that if you weren't white you were a second class citizen in South Africa until 1994

dudes overlook all this though. people of all races have that "my people, my people, my people" thing going on. I've always just accepted every person and "race" for who they are, and that is a human being just like me. the sooner we as a whole can get past political differences, religion, and something so damn basic as skin color, we can really progress.
until then we will continue to suffer from division and continue to be owned by the guys that exploit division oh so well.

The thing with most white people is that they think racism doesn't exist until they're called a name, then they try to call it racist just to exclude the word from their race. I used to post on the bodybuilding forums and a lot of the white dudes over there used to say racist things but when a black dude comes in the thread and says something like "shut up white boy" they say claim racism or "reverse racism".
I've met racist people from all races, Black, White and Asian but i think a lot of white people are delusion when it comes to racism. They think racism is just an excuse that black people use when they're being lazy or something.
Another thing i've noticed is how when ever you bring up history and how bad it was back in the days they'll try to change the subject and tell you to get over it.

Some of them live in delusion because they're not culturally astute and they've never had to be. For the most part white people run this country, therefore in most situations, unless you look like a degenerate, if "you're white you're alright". If all of your life you've never experienced discrimination or "real" racism, the first time somebody of a different color calls you "white boy" you assume, "hey...this must be that racism stuff minorities talk about" and proceed to scream "racist", without any concrete knowledge or experience in what racism and discrimination truly feels like.
Because of such, I don't hold anything against those white people who live in their "delusion". I accept it for what it is and realize they don't understand because they don't have those experiences, which is fine, it's not their fault. However, the people that do irk me are the ones who feel as if they DO know something when they don't, and therefore not only live in their delusion, but are deadset on pushing their delusional thoughts onto you and chastise you for attempting to explain to them how it really is.
For those white people who DO have a firm grasp on racism and discrimination in this country, I applaud and salute you, because you've educated yourself on something you really didn't HAVE to know. You could've very well lived in the delusion others live in and it's unlikely your life would've truly been affected in a major way.
