I apologize if already posted or this is the incorrect thread placement.

TWITTER RSVP PROCESS:
On the RSVP date, our store will send a tweet at a random time to begin the Twitter RSVP process. This tweet will include a product specific hashtag that is circled in a provided image.

Example Tweet from Nike store

Once registration is open, you must send a Direct Message (DM) to the store in order to participate. The DM must include:

The product-specific hashtag found circled in the image tweeted by the store
Your first and last name
Your shoe size (limit one)
Example DM
View media item 330902
Confirmations from the store will be sent via DM to those who have successfully secured a spot in line for their requested size. Product will be awarded on a first-respond, first-served basis for your requested size.

Confirmed recipients must pick up their product (in person w/ identification) from the store on the day of launch during the timeframe specified by the store. Unclaimed product will be re-released at the store's discretion.

HOW DO YOU PROPERLY RSVP THROUGH DM?
Make sure you are following the store Twitter account in order to send a DM. Nike does not need to follow you because its Twitter accounts are verified.

Not all apps have Direct Message capabilities. Using Twitter.com on a desktop or the official Twitter app on a mobile device is safe to plan on. If you use a different app for Twitter, test it for DM capabilities before Twitter RSVP begins.

(For more information about sending a DM, see the Twitter Help Center.)

TWITTER RSVP TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
Nike, Inc. reserves the right to block any user from its Twitter accounts, which would prohibit the user from participating in Twitter RSVP. Factors that would cause Nike to block users include but are not limited to: threats, harassment, annoyance, or any other behavior that Nike deems as inappropriate.

Nike, Inc, reserves the right to block/refuse sale to any user from participating in Twitter RSVP that Nike deems as being opted into programs that provide them an unfair advantage. Nike considers "unfair advantage" as any program/tool that allows consumers to automate their RSVP DM responses to a Nike store.

One item allowed per person/Twitter account, even if you receive two confirmations of successful registrations. Abuse of this rule may result in denial of purchase or entry to future launches.

Confirmed recipients must provide a valid ID (State/Passport/Military/School ID) with a first and last name that matches the first and last name provided for RSVP. You may RSVP with someone else's name if they are the one's who will claim the product on launch day.

Size cannot be changed once it has been confirmed to a person through Twitter RSVP.

Resell or trade of Twitter RSVP confirmation is prohibited.

Twitter RSVP confirmation is not transferable and not redeemable for cash or for credit towards any purchase.

Only those who successfully RSVP are allowed to line up at the store for this release.

Launch process is always subject to change at any time at the discretion of Nike, Inc.

Nike has the right in our sole discretion at any time to cancel, modify or suspend the Twitter RSVP process for any reason including due to tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure, or any other reason which in the sole opinion of Nike affects the security, fairness, integrity, administration, or proper conduct of this Twitter RSVP process. Nike is not responsible for late, lost, incomplete, misdirected, garbled, damaged, delayed or undelivered Tweets or for any other communication or other delivery errors in connection with this Twitter RSVP. A successful RSVP ensures a better opportunity for you to purchase Nike product. This opportunity is not a guarantee of your purchase of Nike product. If Nike terminates the Twitter RSVP process, Nike has the option to select potential winners in a random drawing among valid, non-suspect, eligible entries, or, as otherwise may be deemed fair and equitable by Nike.

Twitter RSVP is used to help manage product launches at Nike Stores. Nike's intent is to make this a fair and fun process for all Twitter RSVP participants. In attempt to deliver a safe and level playing field, Nike reserves the right to ban any users who make threats, harass or attempt to cheat the system by opting into programs that provide them an unfair advantage. Please see our Terms and Conditions for more information on this policy.

Same thing I thought when I heard about bots. Bots? Really? Sad it's come to this but blame it on the bots. :smh:

roll.gif
this is what it has come to
Crazy how this is even necessary nowadays,
mean.gif
this all seems more complicated than it needs to be...
This is so idiotic. Just to buy some shoes? I mean, really???
All of this.

Only a matter of time with how the recent releases have been going. I'm just waiting for this hypebeast phase to end so I can buy shoes like before.

The ones "crying" are the ones that feel like all of this rsvp stuff is ridiculous any way you slice it...

i haven't, nor do I ever plan on doing any of this to get a pair of shoes

I've only used the RSVP system once.

What I liked about it - Did not need to spend 1/4 of my day waiting in line

What I did not like - SF is about an hour away

The compromise - Spent the day in SF w/ my fiancee and the shoes were a pickup while out.

Pretty good experience, I guess.

All that for some shoes you prolly going to resell at a 40 dollar profit anyway lol, good luck....

WTF is a Bot? Why is this even necessary to buy shoes? Then again I buy what I like and not what Nike, JB or any shoe company shoves down my throat.... Glad I didnt have to go through this when I was into this stuff.....
