It's a bit underexposed. I like the idea, taking pictures of sort of beaten and batter street or subway objects is great. most of the street subway etc. is very geometric let that geometry frame your image. the weird angle does nothing for me, personally. I have more cinematic sensibilty so take that with a grain of salt but the same token I would be even you might think that angle is a bit extreme... but I would say your on the right track to some nice "urban grit and grime" type thing photography, but proper exposure goes a long way and your subject be the main thing creating interest not the angle.

^ you're losing some shadow detail, maybe a contrast issue or possible exposure either of which can be fixed with a varying degrees of success...

But I would also say for as much as whats possibly wrong with it contrast or exposure wise the first one It's definately one best photos I've seen in this post. It has a beautiful simplicity to it. like an effortless photograph if you will. I think too many people try to understand composition on the level of a trained artist or photographer and try to hard. When I think an effortlessness if you, its not in that you don't try to make a nice image but you don't over think it you shoot with instinct if you will and you come up with a great photograph. maybe I'm just crazy, but I still like the image alot and the little story to go with on your flickr is great...
