Nice timing!

Damn Obie....nice shots! If I knew where lightening was hitting, I'd sit there all night trying to get some good shots.

Alright guys.....just need some general tips on things. I am kind of going nutty but I guess I have about a month to prepare for this. The long and short ofit, I am shooting photos at a wedding in Vegas. I am a fisheye ***** and need to know any tips on shooting a couple. I am sure most of you know but if not, Iown a Nikon D90 and have the standard 18-105 VR lens that will do most of the work. I doubt I will have a flash aside from the one that is on it and everythingwill be shot around the day time. So questions:

- Anyone recommend any cheap enhancements I can do to take better photos? Is it ideal for me to get a filter and will that help my photos out during thedaytime? I plan to take some scenic shots around Vegas away from the strip.
- Should I purchase a cheap flash for my photos? Since I can't do say Quick techniques with external lighting, will a flash help out with somedaytime/indoor shots?
- How do you coordinate some unnatural shots? Like do I tell the wedding couple to just look at each other and start laughing and take some photos? Or do Ijust have them walk around and act natural and shoot around them?

I am sure some more questions will develop but if any of you guys can chime in with some pointers, please let me know and thanks!

Fong, flash would be really helpful for fill, especially in the harsh vegas sun.

No...I shoot too much of it. My roommate (the one getting married) wants no fisheye shots at all and I am having a hard time really thinking I can take somedecent shots with my stock VR lens. Or maybe I am just not thinking creative enough.

onlinetreboro01 - I am thinking that might be my best bet or actually find that damn 35mm lens before I can go. But honestly I am trying to make due with whatI have if I can cause I really don't have money to burn. I am even thinking about renting a camera as well....of the money makes sense.

If you don't have an external flash, get one that works with the TTL so you don't have to change settings all the time. Even in a lit room, you'llsee a huge difference in quality. The 18-200 VR should be pretty solid because the 18 wide end on the Nikon kit lenses is pretty solid and then the 200 willenable you to get those candid shots from across the room of the s**tfaced bridesmaid making a fool of herself. I don't know about the 35mm f/1.8 beinguseful in this situation because you won't have a lot of time to compose shots. My 50mm f/1.8 has an aperture ring that makes it really easy to get justthe right light into the glass because I don't have to turn a wheel fifteen times, but then again I have no AF either. The prime also requires a lot ofmobility that you may not have at a wedding. Just some things to think about.

Oh, and bring the fisheye anyways. I love seeing wedding reception photos with fisheyes.

guys, im selling my 40D and sigma 10-20mm. just a heads up, if anyone is interested, let me know =]

^I like the last one, it may be the champagne I just drank but is her face just slightly out of focus? The top view of where the Heat play (i think, the nameescapes me) is also cool.

her face looks a little out of focus to me too. but that aerial photo of the street is cool, the patterns are awesome.

i like the last one bana, it would of been perfect if the chair was away from the corner.
