I paid $295 for mine...no way you should be paying 400-500....

nice shots, kitrov! what's the story on those?

That's my granddad in the first pic. Ever since I canremember he always used to feed those pigeons by that kitchen window. (When I was younger I used to live with my grandparents) That's something he reallyenjoys doing. He likes to look at the birds and everything. I can remember there was a time that two of the same birds always came back. My granddad alwaystold me that they were a couple.

The shots were taken the last time I visited mygrandparents (They still live in Russia and I don't).

The first shot is really special to me, because it remindsme of my childhood and just because I love my granddad. I'm glad some of you liked the pic for what it is.

Thanks for the comments

Sorry, I'm ******ed...I read D40 as A640.

I have the Canon Powershot A640, which I'm guessing is a step below the model you guys are talking about. I paid $295 for it overseas while stationed in Qatar. Here's a pic....sorry for the mix-up.

^ I've never heard of it but I know what it is... The photo paper is probably expired and what kind of paper that is?

The Camera on the other hand probably works. Just based what type of camera that is I'm willing to bet it's not the best camera but is alright... Iwould imagine its not really worth a whole lot but I suppose you never know you might want to take a look on ebay to see what the going rate for one is. Iwould either take it to a good non-chain camera store and ask them how to load it or you could try yourself. If you've loaded 120 film before probablyisn't too hard to figure out. If you open it up and take pictures of the inside and I can probably figure it out and explain how you would go about loading120 film. Any half way decent camera store should have 120 film. Ask for something cheap like a single roll of kodak 320tri-x b/w 120film, they'll knowwhat that means even if you don't...

MBP glossy and iMac matte. Between the two I like the glossy better, but I think thats in part because my MBP is a far more color corrected and a signifcantlyfaster/more powerful computer...

Opiin,

The camera has more of a learning curve than most due to it being fully manual. I really enjoy it. Wish I could say I develop the film myself but Ican't. The first few rolls that I took have been developed by a shop here in Oahu. Peace
