Word. that XSi looks dope.

I feel you on the XSi and was really considering buying it, but this is my first SLR and I believe for a beginner this is leaps and bounds above a startercamera, so I am really excited to get my feet wet with it. Plus I got a great deal with the lens's it comes with.

Some flicks from today.

^1st photo is really cyan and possibly green as well.
2nd photo is really green.

Like the color caste on both of them are ridiculous. Not to single you out, I think alot of people's color castes are suprisingly off for digital, evenassuming some webhosting's distort the color a bit, those two just struck me as quite a ways off.

^ Can you give me some insight on some of my pics? Unfortunately, everytime i post, my pics get lagged behind on the last page.

I think its just good lighting and the proper white balance. What im wondering is how she managed to keep the camera steady for those shots, unless it wason a tripod, or these was massive amounts of light and she used a fast shutter speed. Your lens and camera should be fine, just adjust the sharpness inphotoshop maybe? not sure if that helped.

^^ word. like if you look at my pics they're all blurred on the edges. maybe its the type of lens im using. i'm not using a flat lens but a convex lens

Id go for the 10.5mm cause some of the pics I've seen are Sick, and it focuses pretty close to the subject.

Nice car up there, cool photos as well.

Ebay, I see what you're sayin, got any idea on how I might be able to change that?

Erm, all lenses are curved - a flat lens wouldn't do anything.

You could get a difference using better quality glass but it usually comes down to lighting and the appropriate aperture and shutter speed. Try and avoid theextremes of aperture and focal length and your lens performs a bit better too.

Photoshop, Bridge w/ Camera Raw, Lightroom or any other photo editing software, I suppose...

There are auto corrections but those are never perfect, they're a good place to start but, usually you'll need to adjust even the auto corrections. ifit's too green push the magenta. if it's too cyan push the red.

To address the sharpness of photo issue. It really amounts to 4 things some of which has already been touched but... 1. Focus, I have my doubts auto focus isas good as manual focus, if your diopter is adjusted correctly you should be getting pretty sharp images even with auto focus, but my guess is with alittlepractice manual focus is far better. 2. Apperture/Focal Lenght most lens have an optimal apperture as far as sharpness, some people would say with good glassit's so unnoticeable it's pointless to even note, but with some lens it's more prominent where certain F-stops will just be far and away sharperbecause of how the lens is constructed. And the same goes for focal lenghts, fixed focal lenght lens i.e. primes are a million times sharper than an zoom lenswill ever be but even zoom lens have points in the focal lenght that will be sharper. 3. Good glass, those niffy fifties are nice and well worth the whateverstupid cheap price you paid but a hasselblad lense that retails for 4k is going to %@#% on it as far as sharpness goes, there is a signifcant differencebetween some of the glass out there. 4. probably not really that relevant since most if not all of you shoot digital, film will always be sharper than digital, well until they come out with 100MP cameras it will be and more than that just how it functions vs. digital.
