Interesting that they went with a carbon-fibre pattern at the heel... I love carbon, but this is meh.

Posted the 2000 ATC 4 low retro for comparison... obvs missing is the blue-bit at the toe... shape also different.

Co-sign. Especially since this year's Lavas were a bit dull in shade. (And green is my favorite color lol)

Yeah I just didnt like that yellowish tint on the upper. Yeah somethin about that poison green that gets me.

sorry but what are those?  every time I See a speckled sole on a pair of nike 2007+ I wonder how they ever messed up the 3's.  I read some place that someone customized a pair of those to look like the originals though, anyone ever seen this?
 
one time I tried taking the tennis ball of an old pair of originals to put on a retro but they straight up disintegrated

all that dandruff lookin dust everywhere is the tennis ball logo crumbling.  I thought it was kinda cool how the inkblot type design on the ankle part continued under the tennis ball part that was stitched + glued on .  I guess you could market that now as "no two pairs exactly  the same" or somethin

Definitely.  Too early to jump to any conclusions.  Just keepin' my fingers crossed that if they could do a relatively good SCII, Glove, ATC2, etc retro... they can do a good job on this one.  [emoji]128591[/emoji]

anyway this light blue give them neat custom potential if you plan to match your darker jeans color and even blacken ones. clear cloth is a great material to work on a darker model. +paint will also grab on white front sole.

I was so right :smile: ! tired of waiting for a new model/CW i like, I'm now on the customisation process.
Will try to take holliday time to finish them. really love them now, may even blackout my 2nd pair!

If that would come out again I would buy. However I want the 3/4 version obviously.
 
I'll be so pissed if NIke only makes these in lows. I can't imagine they would release those 2 crappy samples either.
