I dont like the personalities German Shepherds have. At the dog park they aren't very social with other dogs, and always want to "patrol" other dogs.

One thing is, I love pugs and would love to have one, but I've heard horror stories about them due to their respiratory problems and the dog may seem fine one day, but randomly it would just die.

I had a lab Shina mix. Great dog,super easy to potty train and didn't really bark. Mine was really skittish though, I don't know if that was a trait exclusive to him or that breed. He shed a lot too.

If you pay $1500 for an English Bulldog you're getting a pretty good deal. English Bulldogs with champion bloodlines can easily go for $3500+.
