Warriors Prepared To Offer Bogut, Thompson Or Barnes To Lakers For Dwight
Jul 01, 2013 1:25 PM EDT

The Golden State Warriors are prepared to offer Andrew Bogut and either Klay Thompson or Harrison Barnes to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for Dwight Howard.

The Warriors can also offer expiring contracts such as Richard Jefferson or Andris Biedrins to offer more cap relief to the Lakers, though only Steve Nash is signed for 14-15.

The Warriors are confident that they can give the Lakers the best offer should Howard decide he doesn't want to re-sign.

The Warriors are not scared off by Howard's recent injuries or his personality.

“Are you kidding?” one source said. “He’s the best center in the game.”

Lakers need to put their pride down, and do this. Dwight would be surrounded with "Shooters"

Lakers should definitely take that trade. I don't think Thompson is that good so I would roll with Barnes. I wouldn't want Dwight on my team. He has talent but he's an immature cancer.

Is cj a better option than dj? I didn't watch enough games of either, cj spreads the floor with his shooting, but I wouldn't expect much more

So Time Warner is going to be at the Lakers meeting. And are offering Dwight his own show. According to Arash Markazi

Wait... are they partial owners of the franchise?

if not how in the **** is that even possible?

i like klay and barnes, but the lakers need to do what exactly? put their pride away and gift the best big man in the L for that package? no.

Or you could just let him walk and get NOTHING in return. Which is the better option for your team?

Worried about what?

I understand its better if he walks 'anyway' LA has a ton of cap space for 2014, etc etc. But Lakers fans really want Dwight to walk?

Is it as simple as, if he doesn't want to be a Laker, 'we're better off without him?'

At the end of the day we're still talking about even with a bad back the 1B best C in the league and when healthy, the clear cut best C.

It took 5 years to go from Magic to Shaq/Kobe.
It took 3 years to go from Shaq to Pau.

In those "downtimes" we added Nick Van Exel and Eddie Jones the first one, and Andrew Bynum, Trevor Ariza the second one.

We'll be able to recover after Kobe with, or without Dwight.

Not one other franchise can say that.

So no, I'm not worried in the slightest.

If Time Warner offers him a billion dollar salary for his own show then we may just have a shot... :nerd:

The knicks tried all that BS with lebron. Offering him his own show, lifetime supply of certain restaurant food/clubs/etc, how much extra he would make in endorsements. It didnt work. They shoulda pressed him on winning championships in NY.

I truly believe Dwight will choose the team that has the best chance of winning.
