IMO the leather on the 2014 were better than the infrared pack, worse than the varsity reds

I kind of like the harder more stiff synthetic or pleather, better than the softer leather. That's why I passed on the Laney 5's believe it or not. I didn't like the tumbled "soft" appearance. Just me though

Yall go get it? No? Oh ok I guess I will. Bro White infrareds traditionally don't come with tumbled leather anyway. You're probably confusing soft leather with tumbled leather. Two totally different types of leather. "Soft" leather is what these white infrareds and sport blues should have. Instead they have imitation soft leather. Tumbled leather is the bumpy, one you're talking about. Like used on the Laney 5s. No. OG white sport blue 6 used actual soft leather which is smooth and slightly grainy when new I'm sure (never had OG 6s but I know) and I guarantee you would like that look. That's what we all want them to have. Don't want you to think people want these to have tumbled leather. That wouldn't be true to OG.

Don't get me wrong I want what I paid for but hard synthetic leather worked well on those white cement 4s. Partly the reason why I traded my extra pair for some baron 9s

I know the difference between tumbled and soft, I was just using the Laney as an Example. Tumble in general is ok, for me, I just don't like it extremely soft. Like the tumble on the SportBlue 3 or Infrared 3 didn't appear as "soft" as the Tumble on the Laney. Never held a Laney just going off appearance.

I basically wear retro's doing anything nonathletic. The quality of the shoes that we love are terrible. Nike makes much better basketball shoes than Retro J's . Most models are a ***** to ball in or even go to the health club and work out in.There are a couple exceptions. Most of the models give me an even greater appreciation for the Superstar that Michael was because if anything the shoes were a handicap. I was laughing with the person who asked if anyone's else Carmines hurt the heel of their foot. I took my Carmines off yesterday and my heel was feeling it. Saying this we will still cop these at $170 or $185 or however much they will be next year. Remastered or not we love the nostalgia and the reaction that others give us because we are wearing a retro J so talking about quality or comfort is a moot point.

my carmines hurt my heel so badly when I wear them that I may sell them if they continue to hurt. At first I thought I needed to break them in but ive worn them twice already and each time I was left with big red marks on the back of my ankles

I hear you big time bro. Same and they are the right size . I love the look but even for walking they are brutal. When people say "leather quality " it makes me laugh. Leather is soft and buttery. The shoes we collect are plastic . [emoji]128514[/emoji]
