I agree with your post to a degree. I do feel that there is so much more that they could have done. At least this year they aren't completely teasing us by having some amazing PE's out there. The biggest tease of the year for me is the precisions. That being said, I feel that these shoes do have more mass appeal than you would think.
These look fake to me, and that price is just too good to be true. The shozoku on the tongue looks a little too small. The swoosh also looks smaller than usual and the placement on the upper doesn't look right. The shape of the heel on the shoes also seems off. Look like it goes straight up instead of being more contoured/shaped for your ankle like on an authentic pair. And those production dates also make no sense.

I say subpar because of the price hike and the major buzz once the MP dropped has declined since IMO.... yea there are a few notables like you mentioned... I think most expected the elites to be like other Nike MC FK shoes even if its a hybrid FK and the EM to be comparable to last yrs ... but the line isnt over so maybe Ill change my opinion
As I pull my shoes off at work...one shoe has 7/23/13 - 11/20/13 and the other one has 7/23/13 - 11/21/13. Granted they aren't Kobe's, I got them from Champs
Yes,all nike shoes are like that. They're like this so you can't steal both shoes at the same time. All shoes have different manufacturing date from the store
The irony being that when "humble" is used on the internet, whether in "IMHO" or whatever, it rarely is in fact expressing humility.
The dates should match however they could have pulled a shoe for defects and replaced it with another production dated shoe. If you're that worried try exchanging them if you can.
