For me it has to be the 8's.  They hold a special place in my heart.  First Kobes I bought were the 7's, but didn't really get into them until the 8's.

Why the 8's are my favorite?

Because of what Kobe did on the court while wearing them.  The season with Howard + Nash + Gasol + Bryant, supposed to be a championship dynasty.  But it all went wrong really quickly.  

Kobe basically single handedly willed the team to the playoffs.  It was the last season that you could make a legit argument of Kobe being the best player in the league.  Dunk vs Brooklyn...steal + dunk on Chris Paul...biting his Jersey vs Clippers...dunk vs Josh Smith...duel with Lillard...Amnesty That! Tweet...heroics vs the Raptors...Golden State free throws.  And he did all this wearing the 8's.

Kobe was the best player in the nba that season. Def should have been mvp. The team was TURRIBLE. But don't sleep kobe still has it...let him get decent teammates and he will shoot better. Have more energy at the end of games. Kobe has to shot horrible shots because boozer can't hit ****, and jlin is playing scared along with Wesley Johnson.

Finally.....someone who watches the games and doesn't just look at the box score. The box score isn't the always the best indicator on how the game goes. Last night, I don't know how many times other players got open shots because they had to double kobe on the post before he even got the ball.

Sorry about rant. Honestly I'm liking the Christmas colorway more and more. The problem is that I don't love them. For that price tag I feel there shouldn't be a doubt in your mind whether you want them or not. At least for me personally.
