I see people are back on their Pyramid scheme grind. Vol. 5Linx

These guys will say just about anything to brain wash you into joining. I remember going to a 5linx meeting, and one of their members was trying to convince me to join becuase I was still young and needed to jump on this opportunity right away. So he was trying to give me examples about how young 18 years are making money for example he was telling a story about some teen thats making 17000 monthly just because he was able to sell electricity to a guy that owns a sky scraper in New York and his average electricity bill is 1 million. Then i started asking him whats the teen's name, what building it was, and the owner of the building and the dude couldnt answer any of my questions.
I have never met one legit professional who openly tells strangers how much money he/she makes. NEVER. Hell I have never met anyone who talks about money in that way period.

That should be the first sign.
I know what you mean, I got a close family friend that makes a ton, and i asked him before how much hes taking in and he just smiles and says alot.

And whats also funny is that a majority of these guys claim they are racking in 10s and thousands of dollars each month, yet they can't wear a nice crisp suit

People be like "I own my own company."

Someone school me on that Organo Gold junk! A dude I know from high school got sucked into it and everything about it looks so struggle and forced.

Normally I judge businesses by their logo and the Organo logo sucks

I know a couple of people that are in the pyramid scheme and they try to get to go to their seminars.  I blocked those people from my life.  I almost got involved in after high school graduation when I was still looking for a job.  It is called "Vector" and I almost got suckered in until I did some research and my boy told me they go around making people sell their knives.

I did Vector. Sent me a letter in mail. Saying i could make 17 an hour. Went to the meeting. Disgusted

Dude cut pennies and rope with the knives. Broke outta there quick

This is why it's hard for me to take people seriously when they say ________  is a scam or a pyramid scheme.  A lot of you dudes really have no idea what you're talking about.

Vector is legit. No different than any other sales job.  I made $5,000 one summer at 18 years-old hardly working.

Talking about, "they make you go around selling their knives," ***** you're a sales rep moving high end cutlery, that's the job.

$20 for every product demonstration, sale or no sale.

+30% commission on $1,000+ cutlery sets.

Legitimate real world sales experience and skill development.

Really not a bad deal at all for a young person with no professional experience.

But ****** are lazy and would rather make $10/hr folding clothes at the mall.
Are you still selling knives? :nerd:

Real talk, I really want to join one. Perhaps take a year off JB just to see..
I mean at the rate JB is raising their price, these 'scams' almost feel like they're a better deal

I know people who do very well with MLM products, in fact he's sorta my barber. (Dude charges 40$ for a men's cut, 65 for females..)
Anyway, he's built up enough clients to cut in his private studio and I only visit him when I needa look the best, and after I kinda just maintain it at my go to 12$ barber. But any who, his studio is filled with tons of this MLM product: cutco herbalife usana the works. He sells only physical products and lives a pretty good life as he travels out of the country a lot (recently went to Japan where he dropped 3k on a pair of shears, reminded me of some kill bill s***). He only endorses products he personally uses and honestly I've bought from him before. ($1000 set of pots and pans 18pcs.) Must say I'm really satisfied and I cook for a living.

And of course I know a lot of people who didnt do so well, but hey, maybe they just didn't approach it correctly.

Not a reach. But I wouldn't say ethnic group. More so a "economic group". If you know what I mean. Wake up now targets the young adults in the hood. Hood mentality= get rich quick. Hood people= black, Latinos, some lower class white people. It's all about what economic demographic you belong to.
A young brotha who's parents is rich and lives in a downtown Brooklyn condo ain't gonna be interested in WUN. But Daquan in the Brownsville is. Why? Because he wants that new 6 series to "stunt"
Idk man. From the outside looking in, it looks like people CAN make money with wake up now. But it takes a WHOLE lot of effort. So much to the point that If someone were to put that much effort into their current job, they'd be making double

And half the people that say they're making bread with wake up now are fronting. There's maybe only a handful actually making serious guap. $600 a month is nothing.
And to get that 600 you have to sign up 3 ppl, who each have to sign up 3 ppl (and a sign up fee is $100)...So you gotta be responsible of finding 12 people willing to pay $100 for access some ******** discount deals (that you can find on a coupon website for free) just so you can see $600
you right. and all members have to pay monthly fees to maintain their membership. The monthly fee's are so hefty that you have to sign up those first 3 people just for your membership to be free. How you paying a fee in order to exchange labor for income smh. Imagine a new company coming out and doing something like this. None of the "top companies" we can think of charge their employees to work for them directly at least.

getting hit with the double whammy.

What's the deal with the WUN? Had a colleague try to sign me up and I just couldn't buy into it. Saying you earn $600 a month when you recruit three members and yada, yada, yada. Youtube really has people trying to believe in making quick money.

:wow:

Who needs a MLM when you got dude's willing to pay $40 for a cut!

That's obserd!!

:smh:

I've been to a few of these sales pitch meetings under the guise of 'parties' and 'get-togethers.' You always know it's a scam when you get there and it's a bunch of random people you don't know with some chips and storebought salsa on the table with no music playing. Me personally, I just turn 360 degrees and walk away.

So I'm at the airport and this girl approaches me cause she overheard a conversation I was having. Asked me where I'm flying too I answer and ask her back. She says she's going to Vegas for her birthday and it's all paid for by the company she works for which is a "traveling club"

At this point I have a good feeling of what this is about but I want to be sure so I ask a couple more questions. She then goes on to say that she gets discounts and reimbursements on flights, makeup, nails, and fast food so basically all her normal purchases. At this point I'm laughing on the inside and text my brother who's there listening to all of this that this is world ventures.

She then asks for my number so we can meet up when we both get back in town so I oblige and Google world ventures followed by her name and sure there she was   .

I showed too much fake interest and shock at it she's gone get me to join the team.

Her Facebook is filled with a ton of pictures of her in all these different places, glad to meet someone who didn't throw money in the toilet to join one of these things
