Word. I turned 16 in 2000 so that era was coming of age for me. That's when you REALLY start caring about fashion, start getting heavy into the ladies, start driving and having more freedom, etc.

Slightly off topic, but imagine turning 16 in the late 60s/early 70's :wow:

The hippy movement
Woodstock
Beetles in their prime
Rolling Stones in their prime
Jimmy Hendrix
The president of the United States getting assassinated

Civil rights movement, followed by MLK assassination
Malcolm X

And many many more things that were more relevant than platinum jewelry being preferred over gold jewelry :rofl:

Or the parents who wouldn't let their daughter date so you'd have a girl call and then pass you the phone once getting to the girl.

What's crazy is how I forget about this time period. Until something sparks my memory. Its just that those times are so far away and different than **** is now. Its a different universe attitude everything etc. Nothing today is remotely close to how life was in 2001. Not a damn thing. I used to get nostalgic way more, **** hurts to much though. [emoji]128544[/emoji] every old person says this but it was better back in the day. Majority of people weren't socially awkward narcissistic blobs. I forgot a life with no one on their phone.

I just think about for the simple fact that before flip phones it was just pay phones ... your family would literally pack up and go on a vacation and you would not have any contact with them until they reached the destination. thats only if they wanted to pay the long distance call on the hotel bill.

Yeah this was before early 00s but still

I miss the Xbox Halo LAN parties lmao.
There was no Xbox Live in the beginning for Halo so we would have someone host LAN party and people bring food or whatever.

When the very first Halo came out we would have 4 xbox's, 4 TV's, 12 or 16 people. Playing in somebody's house with a just a bunch of s*** talking going on across rooms.
