I think I might buy the Blazers cautiously, it's only a month in tho..so who knows. They're a good team still.

Did Russ get hurt on that last possession when he fell? It looked like he was limping after that timeout
He was taken straight to the locker room, don't know the extent of his injury, probably hip contusion or something and likely will be fine for Sunday.

Portland's wins against Spurs, Pacers, and now Thunder all came on the 2nd night of a road back 2 back. Weird stat

Seeing Adams make that pass just reminds me of all the times Perkins thinks he's Magic Johnson and fails miserably.

Ty Lawson tonight :x

1-13 shooting

Dude is/has been overrated, he refuses to take that next step as a leader/step his game up, I've thought this dating back to his North Carolina days.
Who ever hyped Ty Lawson? He's pretty underrated imo, he's having an outstanding season and the Nuggets are playing well. Just a bad game.

Ever since UNC dude has been called "underrated", and anytime going forward that you hear/see the Nuggets are on national TV listen to the analyst suck this dudes nuts b... He does not no how to show up in a game of significant relevance on a consistent basis ever since he's came on the scene.
He beasted in the playoffs last year vs Golden State. His team couldn't get the W but that's not all on him.

No one calls Lawson elite or anything but he's a very good point guard. And so far this season, he's averaging an efficient 20/8/4 which is better than a lot of so-called 'elite' point guards are doing this season.

So I haven't had the opportunity to watch the Blazers, how are they so damn good? Besides Dame and LMA, who's getting it done for them?

Wesley Matthews has been balling his *** off although the level he's at right now is unsustainable. But also their bench is improved after being one of the worst in the league last year.

They have an actual bench now, so starters don't play 42+ minutes and wear down every 4th Q.

Plus they have had the luckiest of lucky scheduling breaks.

They are certainly in the mix tho. 3-4-5 seed, if they stay hot, good shot at HC in rd 1. 5 seed more likely if they run into injuries, etc. Otherwise, could be top 4.

so with this guy looking so good everytime hes on the court

why is Perk still playing? i want an answer. a real and serious one.

Only Scott Brooks knows the answer i'm afraid

I'm afraid, that even he doesn't know..

Hell, there is no reason that Reggie Jackson (24 per), jeremy lamb (20 per) and steven Adams (17 per) should be averaging the mins that they are presently averaging..

With Perkins deficiencies (18 per).. Trying to limit westbrook's mins a little from his usual 35 mins per.. The ability to play 3 guards lineups (if you want to play Jackson and lamb with Westbrook.. Or thabo or fisher).. The ability of Reggie to play off the ball (so again he can play with or without Westbrook).. Thabo not playing that great (27 per).. And fisher shooting horribly (13 per)

All should factor into those 3 guys getting more mins.. Come playoff time the thunder will be better off for it

Also, Perkins shouldn't be averaging more mins than collison.. As far as I'm concerned perk's and thabo's mins should be dictated by whatever team we are playing on a given night and the matchups

Why does perk still play??? Ahhhh..... Heart? Because it's defiantly not anything basketball related. Adams has already sharded on his best stat line coming off the bench and colison did that for the past 3 years....... So....... Heart it is

So I haven't had the opportunity to watch the Blazers, how are they so damn good? Besides Dame and LMA, who's getting it done for them?

1. LMA has been spectacular against all of their tough opponents, SAS, GSW, OKC, HOU & IND. He's averaged 28 in those games. He had a 30/20 game against the Warriors.

2. Only GSW is shooting the three ball better than them as a team. They were 20th in threes last year. Wes Matthews alone is shooting 50% on 5 attempts per game.

3. And then the additions of Mo off the bench & a legit center in Robin Lopez have helped them
