This just isn't fair...nor is it accurate.
I've watched many a Knick game and Melo definitely gets off the rock enough for people to flourish if they have had any real consistent ability. Statistics don't tell the story with Melo and his playmaking.
He's not a deft playmaker by any stretch, but he sure isn't what you paint him about to be.

chandler parsons giving the interview and dwight howard smiling....classic reason why this team won't when anything. saying dwight wants to keep the team in a college atmosphere by having fun is why he will never win. houston and dwight howard is the the type of team/person that will be happy with a DEEP first round playoff run (5 games) as long as dwight is around....

why are any knicks fans arguing with dudes who are blinded by their dislike for the franchise or certain players on the team? it's pointless
i feel ridiculous for even replying to someone like JD617, because he just doesn't obvserve the games, he just sees the results, which don't paint a clear picture of what goes on quite often during knicks game.

Sure he can make good passes when he needs to. But the other 85% of the time he is looking for his own shot and as soon as he catches the ball he forgets there is even an offense around him.
And I watch a lot of Knick games. As soon as this guy leaves you will all be happy to renounce having ever supported him.
To whoever said LeBron's team was a better "fit": well, yeah... LeBron could make the Bobcats look like a decent fit, Carmelo would make Miami look like a poor fit. The biggest part of the fit is the man at the center.

But to be fair, Howard carried a Magic team to the finals before, and with his career wrapping up, I think he will not be happy with just a deep playoff run. That's just a slap to the face since since this rockets team (without Howard) had taken the number one seed to 6 games last season.
