In other news has anyone read today's articles about the lockout ending?

Esp this part:

“Late in the evening before the Waldorf Astoria meeting, I was already in bed for the night when my phone rang," Billy Hunter wrote in the court filing. "The caller identified himself as the ‘Black Mamba.' "

Bryant informed Hunter that his agent, Pelinka also was on the phone.

At that point, Hunter said that Bryant urged him to accept a 50-50 split of revenue in the meeting the following day and "put this thing to bed. ... Do the deal."

If I was in bed and some guy called and identified himself as "THE BLACK MAMBA"....

im not sold on OKC ever since they lost Harden. Westbrook and KD just don't have any help and Scott Brooks kind of sucks.  i don't see them as a threat until they make some big moves

I'm old enough to have actually watched Magic in his prime. I've also seen pretty much every game Chris Paul has played since he joined the Clippers. And based on my own personal observation of both players, I give the edge to Magic. CP may go down as statistically the best PG ever to play, but in terms of overall impact on each game, I can't say he's better than Magic.
There you go.

Base comparisons on your eyes and the numbers, not what that player and 11+ others collectively did or did not do.

CP, you know I've always avoided those "this player is better than that player" historical discussions. If I hardly ever saw someone play (or never), I have no opinion about them. And I shouldn't.

And before anyone says it, I truly couldn't care less about whether or not Chris is better than Magic, or if people think he is or isn't. It means nothing to me. I'm 25. Never saw Magic play except for possibly his final season, and I surely don't remember it.

I know you do, but I know you're also one of the brightest we have (especially in this terrible thread) I was just wondering from your first comment if you had a stat tool that you used or some insight into something.

Cuz I just don't see what they are talkin about. I suppose I should read ESPN's article, but given the history of ******** they put out there nowadays, I'll be reading about Wiggins >>>>> MJ in a few weeks or so. So I have little trust in them.

Brooks is the problem IMO, they just need a better coach there is enough talent on the team but Brooks lineups are just horrid. He also doesn't stagger minutes between KD and Westbrook well. They still could win a title in spite of him through the greatness of Russ and KD though, amazing how you end up with these two guys plus Harden through the draft still.

serious question, not trying to be an ***: who is the rest of the talent? Who else can help shoulder the load on offense? i just don't see it on this roster, but i also only get to see them play when they are on espn or TNT so that's why im asking you. it just seems like even with a coaching change, this roster needs 30+ pts per night out of Russel and KD to win, which is just not realistic to expect, especially to do that all the way through the playoffs

Ibaka has to step up and consistently be a scoring threat to the tune of 18 ppg. Lamb and Reggie gotta get 20. Lamb is shooting 40% from 3 he can stretch the floor for them but Brooks has to play him more than Thabo.

Rockets’ James Harden Being Sued For Punching Heckling Lakers Fan

According to the lawsuit, Harden was on his way out of Greystone Manor nightclub in West Hollywood November 3rd — riding in the back seat of some SUV — when he rolled the window down to greet fans.

That’s when a man named Barak Golan says he shouted at Harden, “Kobe owns your ***!” and Harden allegedly socked him in the face.

Harden didn’t stop at simply punching the heckling Lakers fans as he also flipped off Golan as his SUV sped away. Clearly, Harden wasn’t in the right frame of mind thinking he’s simply runaway without any consequence.

As a result of the incident, Harden is being sued by Golan for assault and battery.
