he didnt travel or carry. people need to get out on the court more often

Whatever B. Keep living dat traveling life

Dude takes one dribble to pull off the entire move.

Count his steps, after the dribble he plants he his back foot (which was sliding) and steps back with it. With his lead leg, he jabs steps and steps back.

I've seen that move done on court and Pierce used to do a move like it a lot. Every time there was a 2nd dribble after the crossover dribble to step back.

-KD's hand is under the ball, he does it a lot, never gets called.

Raveling life?

He took 2 dribbles during that move. If i'm doing a step back, my hand is allowed to be under the ball as long as i dont take another dribble after that. The only time his hand was arguable under the ball was when he was in motion to shoot after the step back.

That would never get called as a travel or carry. Not at your local hood park, not at the Y, LA fitness, college, NBA, overseas......

Looks like a discontinued dribble as he crosses over, but Durant seemingly never gets called for it.

Durant definitely tends to carry on his right to left cross, it'd be a ticky tack call but I wouldn't complain, but in no world is that move a traveling violation

Dont just look at one side of the ball, russ is a more intense defender, i'll deal with the out of controll plays when i know my pg is gonna lock up consistently, also russ mid range pull up> >> rose
Russ gambles way more on defense and is more likely to let his man get in front of him. With him not having as disciplined of a defense team he never gets help so it just leads to easy baskets. People mistake Rose for being a bad defender because it never looks like he's putting forth effort but he always steers his man baseline into help.

You also said don't look at one side of the ball, well don't look at one aspect of one side of the ball. Russell was never a better jump-shooter than Rose, even from mid-range, and now that Rose has made his 3 point shooting even BETTER Russ really doesn't have an argument over Rose. Russ took the most shots in the entire league last year, but don't confuse that for being the most offensively skilled. On top of that, Rose can actually control his athleticism, he's always precise when he's attacking and never had the tunnel vision Russ does.

Russ still a beast tho probably in my top 10 players when he's playing good. Last year was his most disciplined to this date and if he really put forth effort into being a better point guard he can potentially be better than Rose

I meant traveling life . My bad, the T was missing like KD's 2nd dribble

After he crosses over and steps back all with one dribble.

Breaking it down:

He cross over, then begins his move

He then takes two steps

Crosses over again.

Plants the let foot that was draggin

Jabs with the right

Steps back with the left

Steps back with the right

-Four steps with one dribble. Stop it B

Rose shot 31% from 3 the last season he played, which is also his career average. Westbrook was 32% last yr, both were 43% from the field in those seasons. Please let it play out before making these "he's a better shooter" claims.

Rusty, have you ever played basketball before? There is no rule governing how many steps you can take in between dribbles and the steps count doesn't even start until you officially kill your dribble, which KD didn't do until he put his right hand on the ball going into the shot. He could have actually dribbled again had he so chose.

Or Admunson. Either way, it's a big concern.

I'm not concerned ijs.
Oh you should be, trust. I just had to sit through this with the Spurs and Spillter, and even though hes gotten tougher I would still like to see him get a bit more aggressive on defense.

Guess I am in there...

Traveling arguments :smh:

isnt carrying technically a travel?
Yup, just like Up and Down (IDK what everyone else calls it but when you go up in the air with the ball and come back down with it) is technically a travel.

he didnt travel, i looked at it a million times. its a step back off the dribble...

carry tho, who cares. everyone carries and they call it 2% of the time

ive been too lazy to make/join a league and my buddies are being idiots.

glad i someone got in this one from last year

actually idk if i know my espn passord

You get a twp to step gather when you kill your dribble, kills dribble and takes two steps backwards.

Its not a travel.

and unless you go palms up or gain significant forward progress with the move they never call carrying,

I wouldn't just look at percentages but also three pointers made. Too lazy to look up the numbers but my gut instincts tell me Russ's total 3pm last season isn't even close to Rose's Mvp season numbers. I wish there was an adjusted stat that took away Rose's half court quarter heaves that he does at end of quarters. I swear to god he averaged like 2 of those all Mvp season long.

All this talk about KD traveling... let's talk about how Reggie was a half a step away from joining the Andre Miller club.
