NFL Week 8 In Review...

Serious question: If that was Witten, and not Dez spazzing on the sidelines, are we still critical?

Yes but not as critical. I don't think you act like that towards a coach or your QB. You talk in the locker room. Dez catching more heat because it's not his first tantrum and he had two in that game

no. the media then spins it to "jason witten is a leader on this team and he's trying to fire his guys up".

i didn't like dez going about it the way he did, but i understand it. 6 targets isn't enough. i can't tell you if that's a romo thing, a scheme thing, a defense thing, but the fact is you HAVE to get your best player the ball. it's got to be especially frustrating when the guy on the other side has 16 targets, and 14 catches.

I'm more annoyed at the fact that when Tom Brady throws a temper tantrum, he's a leader. When Starscream does it, he's a cancer. Passion is passion, period. These guys don't like to ******g lose.

Double standards FTL.

Tom Brady getting in his WRs face about dropping catchable balls vs Dez blowing up because he isn't getting the targets.

While I agree passion is passion those 2 aren't the same.

This has nothing to do with his WRs dropping balls. I can supply more evidence of Tom Brady spazzing on the sidelines from the last five years if needed.

you mean Tom Brady getting in people's face for sailing balls? Cause I sure have seen a lot more of those from him than drops from his receiver. But keep up that BS narrative if you want.

ehh disagree. i don't think he's saying he wants more catches for the hell of it. he knows he's the best WR on that team, and he makes big impact plays to help win a game. when you're not winning games, and he's not getting enough touches, easy to see why he's frustrated. dude just wants to win games.

don't confuse brady flipping out earlier this year versus the media putting all the blame on the receivers. you're reaching.

And to lose like they did yesterday? It's been a consistent thing with the Cowboys before Dez was even on the team. Heart breaking loses. They've already had two this year like that. It's not just the players who are frustrated...have you seen their Fans this morning? OP is mad. Everybody in Dallas should be mad. Not just Dez.

 most of those GIFs aren't him piling on anyone in particular. he's pissed with a lack of results. nothing wrong there imo.

the game from earlier this year was bad. and the incident with bill o'brien was bad. most of what chester posted is nothing.

which more often than not is the case

Its nothing until you're a Jay Cutler or a Dez Bryant or a Cam Netwon, right?

Tom is heated, spiking water bottles and **** on the sidelines, no one says a word.

Dez gets heated and it's all over ESPN.

Like I said, double standards.

If it's cool for QB's to go off then WR's or anybody else can do it too. QB's are not the only ones that wanna win and get frustrated by losing. The Cowboys have blown so many games, so many opportunities the last few years. To me it looks like Dez is tired of that, he's tryna wake these dudes up.

Eagles are down to our rookie 3rd string 4th round pick QB, not sure what exactly everyone was expecting.. And we've had the top 2 guys try to play through injuries the last 2 games..

As I've said many times this season and in a couple threads, we were a 4-12 team last year with new coaches, switching to a 3-4 and a good bit of new players.. Maclin got hurt in preseason.. And now we have Vick and foles both dealing with injuries..

This season is a transition one.. We need an influx of talent all over the roster which will take a draft or 2.. We have some pieces, but there are huge drop offs after those guys

I just want to see the team improve and be competitive

Packers with a real running game :pimp:
My Chargers with a 3 week unbeaten streak :pimp:

Bengals finally with a real #2 WR :wow:
Andre FREAKING Ellington. :pimp: CUT MENDENHALL....NOW. :x
Stafford with that clutch gene yesterday. Too much heart for the Boys' to handle.
I ain't even mad at Dez, like Chester said when Brady does it he's a leader when Dez does it he's childish. Double standards FTL. There's no excuse for him only having 3 catches and 6 targets yesterday, NONE.

to some people, it looks bad when you show no emotion 99% of time but then have an emotional outburst on the sideline at a coach or player. players like brady and rivers are usually pretty animated and show their intensity regularly. a guy like cutler rarely shows that level of intensity. so when he blows up, people get a little surprised.

and i'm not saying cutler should be killed for it, but brady should get away with it. i'm just pointing out a reason why people look at it differently.

Dez yelling at a coach and QB...people make a huge deal about it.
Brady yelling at a coach and WRs...people make a huge deal about it. it was all over ESPN and every media outlet.

where's the double standard?

people got on brady for it, and people are getting on dez for it.

Literally, all year during Pats game, I hear Tom Brady just can't get on the same page with his receivers, how he is having trouble integrating these new rookies into the fold...instead of the fact that he just hasn't been very good.

The media has such preconceived narratives about each of those two guys that the stories are pretty much already written when these things happen. Tom acts like a petulant brat, its ok cause he's a winner and has proved it. Dez...well you already know. Let's also just pretend race has nothing to do with this either.

Your bias is clearly showing.

Spiking the ball on a penalty? Throwing water cups in frustration? Dude is throwing tantrums on the sideline and on the field.

And he still gets to be called a fiery leader :smh:.

Oh and all you dudes sayin Dez was just mad because Megatron was crapping all over him.

Oh. I didn't know Dez played defense. I didn't know he was the reason Peyton put up 51 on them too.

How does he have anything to do with what Calvin did? If Dez had 15 targets instead of 6 you don't think he would of had himself a 200+ yard game on that crappy *** Detroit secondary?

Just sayin. AJ got targets last week and terrorized that Detroit secondary for 155. What the **** is Dez supposed to do with 6 targets? 3 catches for 70+ yards. You do the math, what's the pace for that? You give him another 6 catches and he'd AT LEAST have 160 plus another 1 or 2 Tds.

And I ain't even a Cowboy fan, obviously. But it's annoying hearing all this "Mega shut the Dez comparisons up"... Yeah no **** when the guy has 14 catches and most of them are deep targets he's going to get a big day.

Dez wouldn't do 329 but you can be damn sure it would of been a 200+ 4TD game with more targets on that secondary.
Get him the damn ball.

/end dez-type rant
